I had there pot roast not a piece of roast lots of tiny pieces of fat an a few stings of meat .No napkin to eat with the food I couldn't possibly stand to eat anyways an I didn't. However the pie was very good . My daughter had a died out chicken samwhich . Then when I went to pay I get we don't take credit cards . I have no cash on me an no time to go running around to an atm . FYI i wont pay for what i didnt order which was a paper bowl of fat ,carrots an potatoes .your money for the 2 pies an chicken samwhich are in the mail , In this day if you don't take a card period you're only evading taxes .I come that way offen ... but I won't be back there nor will I recommend to anyone else ... an I know lots of people ,as I grew up there .

So this little cafe is in my hometown & I've been there before. It's really nothing special tbh but AnywayZ our local festival was today so my 71 yr old father & I stopped in to get some of the local fest food. Only thing is tht I didn't want what he was going to get so I had just said tht I wanted some Fries. Well I get there and ask this old lady for some fries only to be snapped at tht "THEY DIDNT HAVE ANY FRIES!" I was like ok whatever. So I said I'll just have a coke and then the old lady said ok lemme get these people 1st. So she proceeded to wait on the 2 people behind me and finally I had asked this other older lady for a soda and she actually got it for me. Idk if they have good food or not BUT I do know about the service and it's HORRIBLE!!! Idkw she was so short with me but tht is Not How ur suppose to treat ur customers ya know. I wld let this place slide on by if I were you. Go somewhere tht will appreciate ur business ya know. Technically I gave it 1 but really I'd give it like .3 and Thts just bc of the he other older lady tht wasn't all snooty with me. If ya ask me then I'd say "Pass" on this place buddy.

My husband and I were in town for a funeral and stopped by this little Cafe and the food was delicious. The homemade biscuits and gravy tasted just like my mom's. Took a piece of chocolate cake for the road and it's the best piece of cake I've ever had. If you're in Harlan this is a must place to stop and eat and the service was amazing!!
What a great surprise this place is! It's just a tiny place, but the food is amazing, especially the breakfast. Try the Slam Dunk Omelette!

I have always enjoyed Sports Cafe’s menu of delicious options, down home daily specials, and rich desserts. I have come to appreciate their commitment to safe catering during Covid-19. As we shifted away from buffets at meetings, Sports Cafe worked with us to provide individually packaged meals to safely feed our guests. They are a tremendous neighbor in our downtown community!
