Our waiter was so sweet, this was my first time ever eating there and the food was great. I only had mozzarella sticks & the cheddar bacon ranch fries but both were delicious. I definitely recommend trying their food. I absolutely loved their cherry coke as well.

We went upstairs to enjoy some pizza and relax after work. The server was wonderful. We loved the chicken Alfredo Pizza and was ecstatic when she recommended putting some Gripping seasoning on it. It was delicious. The Alfredo pasta was okay, but a little bland for my taste. So you should definitely get the chicken Alfredo Pizza and the Bacon ranch fries with grippo seasoning!

Fun trivia: The prior owner, Mr Avery Markham, had a daddy who was a ‘bacca farmer out in Cynthiana.. Just don’t expect to find Choo-Choo guarding a safe with ten million dollars in it. Raylan approves of the food! Excellent pies!

The food was amazing! Went in for pizza and ended up trying quite a few things.Kid friendly with a bar upstairs.They do have a gluten free crust however we did not try it today.If you are ever in town we highly recommend it!
If you are a tourist visiting the Harlan area, you HAVE to stop by the Portal! The food is AMAZING, and so are the drinks! The entire restaurant shows the history of Harlan County and has pictures from the mines and of big historical events! The restaurant is family owned and operated, and they do an amazing job with the place! Make sure to stop here when you are visiting the area!
