Good start with celery tomato soup. Table yeast rolls and pickled vegetables were great. But then I ordered catfish and it was awful. Tons of breading and instead of flaky interior it was glutinous mush. Steer clear.

Dining at the Trustees Table was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, perfectly reflecting the rich history of the setting. The menu showcases classic, thoughtfully prepared dishes using fresh, local ingredients—each bite was delicious and memorable. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. Whether you’re a local or visiting, the Trustees Table offers a unique blend of tradition, hospitality, and truly excellent food. Highly recommended!

Nice lunch and enjoyable food. The waitstaff does not match history and story of Shakers. Costumes would be nice add to experience.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! The service is absolutely horrible. They have no idea what ingredients are in things that they are supposed to make??? It took a while to get someone to my table she brought water I asked for lemon and then I ordered. She got people's checks the dessert tray for another table brought more checks out all and I still didn't get my lemon. Then she tells me she doesn't know what's in the dressing she didn't even put my order in! Total waste of my time!!!

All I can say is WOW!!! Everything is great here all the way down to the asparagus which sucks everywhere else I've ever been! The shrimp huspuppies were great and the mashed potatoes were the best of the best. The staff is super friendly and I'm just trying to figure out how this place is anything less that 5 stars on google.

Nice history but overpriced food . I don't mind paying for decent food, but marginal portions with forgettable tastes. Meh. Being a historical site, you should expect some traditional role playing by the staff. The biblical floods at the time might have dampened the spirits, so it's not the fault of the staff.

We have been here multiple times and the food is always incredible!!! Their water is always super cold and tastes great! I love the fried chicken dinner and never can seem to order anything else. I gave 5 stars on the food and atmosphere, the service and hostess could definitely use an improvement though as we were wait listed for 15 mins with a seemingly empty restaurant. We were seated at a table that was empty when we came in. Once seated we waited almost 5 minutes for our server to bring drinks. If you can get by these small inconveniences, it's well worth a visit for the food!

Fantastic food of the highest quality served in a serene and tastefully restored historic building. It loses one star for service because it took forever to get our drinks, but worth the wait.
