Got a pound of brisket to take home. 7 ounces was fat..so disappointed. Not much flavor.

I wish I had taken a picture. I ordered ribs, baked potato salad and burgoo. The RIBS WERE NOWHERE smoked or off of any grill. They looked and tasted like they were cooked from Someone’s home oven (theirs) with minimal salt or pepper. How can you serve someone a RIB which is a staple of BBQ and not have any smoke at all as if it’s not noticeable. Not a ring of smoke it was gray looking it possibly was boiled. The burgoo was bland I’ve eaten it there before this was horrible only thing decent was the potato salad. And give you one small little cup of sauce.

Food was good. The mutton sandwich was piled soooo high I could have made 2 sandwiches out of it. Tried the peach cobbler as well

I go almost every Wednesday. Order on the phone drive through grab me some ribs and go home watch my soap operas and eat. Then it’s nap time. Love this place.

Really delicious food. I recommend the mutton and the brisket. They also have unique side dishes, like baked potato salad (lots of sour cream), hot slaw, and burgoo--a stew of barbecued meat and vegetables.

Big disappointment. I took the hubby here for his birthday lunch after leaving MB Roland, and I don't usually do reviews if I can't give a 5, but I would have appreciated knowing before going on this one. It's highly rated on Google, which is surprising. I even heard an elderly gentleman tell staff it was the best he'd ever eaten as he was walking out the door, and I wanted to tell him he needed to get out more. The pork just tasted like smoke, no other seasoning, just smoke. The cornbread was burnt AND cold, green beans tasted like they were straight from a can, and I LOVE green beans. I think green beans should always be served at a BBQ joint. But good ones, with flavor. The white beans tasted like onion. That's all the flavor they added to those, chunks of onion. The mac n cheese was the best part of the meal. The staff was fairly friendly, bathroom pretty clean, no salt and pepper shakers, but they were definitely needed. I also usually take photos to post, but I had no desire to. I threw most all of it away. I tried to drown the pork in sauce, but then all I could taste was sauce. So, unfortunately, I have to say NOPE. I feel bad saying it, but if someone would have said all of this in a review before I drove an hour and a half... I could have saved 30 bucks, three hours of my time, and taken the hubby somewhere good for his birthday lunch. 😞
