Chipotle Mexican Grill

I’ve always enjoyed Chipotle, but honestly, it’s not quite like it used to be. The portions have definitely gotten smaller, which is disappointing considering that one of the big appeals was always getting a hearty, filling meal most of the time with leftovers. The food still has good flavor, but it just doesn’t feel as generous or satisfying anymore. I had a lot of fatty pieces in my chicken that were just not edible.

On top of that, the restaurant itself is on the smaller side, and the parking lot isn’t much better—tight spaces and not a lot of room, which makes visiting a little inconvenient. Overall, it’s okay if you’re craving Chipotle, but I miss the larger portions and the more comfortable setup some other locations have. Although it’s nice to have one right in Independence!

The staff were all very polite and working hard to get people taken care of as fast as possible.

Stopped by at 630 on a Friday night 9-19-25. No line. But they were out of regular steak and when asked how long was advised 10 minutes. How are you all out of food at 630 on a Friday? No hustle in that place.

Most chipotles you go to now days will give make you smepn 15 on a burrito and give you maybe 6 bites of food, I went to this one and they made sure to give me what I payed for, the burritos were massive.

This was the filthiest restaurant I have ever been in. Chicken had a lot of fat on it. Nasty restaurant and food. I received a refund.

Ordered a veggie burrito, and the employee began making it like nothing was the matter and put the rice on. When I asked for fajitas veggies, she said they didn't have any, and asked what I wanted on it. Now, why would that not be something she'd think to mention when I ordered a veggie burrito? Now as I read the many reviews left here by others that the veggies (and other ingredients) are constantly not available, I realize it didn't occur to her to mention they were out of veggies because it's the norm to be out. My burrito ended up tasting pretty good, but the chicken in my wife's and daughter's food was way too salty. We won't be back.

They didn't have any mix. They told me that they did then half way though the order.

I don’t know what kind of circus this Chipotle is running, but it’s clearly not one where anyone knows how to make food correctly. Every single visit is a disaster—missing ingredients, sloppy portions, cold food. It’s like a training ground for high schoolers who couldn’t care less. If I wanted to pay $12 for chaos wrapped in foil, I’d just make it myself blindfolded. Do better.

Stingy on product, ordering online is less than satisfactory, asked for extra lettuce and received a lite lettuce, my wife just asked for lettuce and had a dusting, like it was supposed to be there for looks on a fancy dinner plate. We both got bowls. I also ordered fajita veggies and didn't receive any. I understand mistakes happen, although this was the 3rd time ordering online at this location with similar experiences.
The food is great and staff is pleasant. I would recommend going inside to order to go, if you have an appetite or any specific requests.

2nd time I've made an order that was incomplete - Don't mind paying for our food but I expect everything we pay for is added to the order

This chipotle is good. Some of the other in the area are hit or miss, but this one is generally pretty good. The staff are always friendly. I recommend.

This place gets so much hate on here. Honestly, I have no idea why. I’ve never had a problem album and they’ve always delivered exactly what I ordered!

How is this location even still open? They are the worst Chipotle ever!
