Great food, great service and a really great atmosphere

My wife and I went there yesterday I had the chicken pot pie ; it was terrible. I’ve had it many times before it was ok This time I think it had some kind of weird spice that completely ruined it Told cashier, her only comment was to try the shepherds pie Not good Very disappointed

We ordered chicken and dumplings with biscuits. We usually love a Cracker Barrel visit but this time the food was less than desirable. I had corn and broccoli with my order. Corn had been reheated and dried up like raisins. Biscuits were very hard. I asked if it would be possible to get fresh biscuits and waitress said at this time of evening (about 7:30pm) not very likely and walked away. Both order of dumplings were re-heated but cool ( not hot). Don't want to blame anyone, restaurants can't always serve great meals. I hope this is useful information.

The chicken fingers and hash brown casserole was delicious. I would given a five star rating on the food except for the beignets which was ok nothing special. Service was great this time.

On 29 March 2025, I enjoyed a make-your-own breakfast from their menu. I placed my order around 7:40, and the food arrived incredibly quickly. The hash brown The eggs were sunny side up but cold, with a lukewarm interior. The four strips of bacon, cooked well-done, were also cold. If you request bacon cooked well, why would it be served cold?

The cooks or chefs need to take pride in their work serve the public as if they would like to get served. Everyone should take in their work.

I've noticed a change in freshness with there biscuits and corn muffins then a staff member tells me they make them the day before and freeze them the cornbread was hard as a rock and the biscuits had hard spots on them

We were told they were out of coleslaw (when our order came out) then the table behind us ordered coleslaw. They got coleslaw. The fish and fries were cold and soggy and we got 3 tiny pieces. The lady behind us got 3 large fresh pieces. I do not know what their issue is, but I think they are reheating leftover food for some customers and catering to others. I went with my children, to this location, and their chicken tenders were so stiff that my children could not eat them. I went with my old white grandmother, to this location, and everything was great. My boss, who ordered the fish and coleslaw is not white. My kids are not white. The thing with racism is that it is hard to prove. Either way, my boss has money and tips well. I have money and tip well, but if a place gives shitty ass food to people and lie to their face over slaw just to confirm their bias, cool. My grandmother has plenty of money, but is from the depression era and tips mediocre to low. So I guess good job cracker barrel, you are doing great at keeping the crackers in your barrel! I hope this stays a lucrative business model for you for years to come.

We were at lunch and it was not crowded but the service was very slow and the food was lukewarm when we got it. We were also 30 minutes late getting back to work.

My favorite chicken and dumplings was very disappointing! Someone changed the review or something! Usually you get large or medium pieces of chicken... just had very small pieces and not many! And dumplings were thick and didn't taste as good. Maybe they have a new chef... but bring the old dumplings back.

I ordered the Blue Beery Pancakes, eggs over easy sausage and coffee. I was served about 2 tablespoon of blue berry syrup and two very hard fried eggs. Not nearly enough syrup and of course the eggs were not what I ordered or like.
