I really love this Walmart. First of all is a neighborhood market so it is very compact. It has a separate liquor store and pharmacy along with groceries, but they don't sell any of those random things you find in a Walmart like clothing or sports equipment. There's also a Murphy's USA gas station. The staff is really helpful when you're checking things out and the pharmacy is amazing and very quick to fill medications.

Just a quick note about this Jeffersontown location. We've been in Florida all winter. We have experienced the pick up, curbside, Walmart, Shipt from CVS, Target, PUBLIX, and now, here locally, at Kroger, Target, Meijer, etc. Some are better than others. Some are great, others are horrible!!!! BUT, let me highly recommend this drive up, curbside delivery of groceries in the Walmart Grocery App. One substitution...frozen grilled zucchini wedges instead of slices. And she asked, was that ok. Oh, and also, the Virginia baked ham....1.55 lb instead of 1.5 lb. And there's more.....I ordered the Breyers Carb Smart Peanut Butter ice cream!!!! They have it. No problem. I can't say more!!!! Yes I can!! I "checked in"....I'm on my way. I pull into the parking spot and as I put the car in park, the employee is headed to my car!!! I know this is Walmart...big box...not home grown, but they are kicking butt and we need to applaud!!!!

I just switched to this pharmacy from Walgreens. I had the best experience at this pharmacy. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. As someone who has adhd(diagnosed 25 yrs ago) I am prescribed a stimulant medication. I can't tell you how many times I've been treated like some druggy. I understand the concern from pharmacies especially with the drug addiction epidemic in the rise. I know some of it is in my head but I have experienced many instances where a pharmacist was rude to me, I truly believe this was why. I was sooooo happy after leaving the Walmart Pharmacy today. It was such a pleasant experience. Thank you to all the pharmacists and pharmacy techs working today. You have truly made my day. Sounds silly, but sometimes a smile is worth so much!

This Walmart Neighborhood Market is close to home, so it's there when I need something quickly while in the middle of preparing a meal, or when I'm on my way home and need to grab something. Other than quick one-or-two item visits I don't have much use for this place, opting instead to go to Meijer, Whole Foods, or Fresh Thyme for our major weekly shopping. I think one of the major reasons I'm not a huge fan of Walmart Neighborhood Market is that is feels more like a warehouse than it does a grocery store. The endless rows of partially stocked warehouse-style shelves lend itself to this feeling. The produce section is pretty decent, but nothing to write home about, and sometimes there's no rhyme or reason as to why something is sold the way it is. Green onions, for example. If you want a few green onions you're out of luck. Instead you buy the pre-sealed packs of a shitload of green onions. Granted, it's only 88 cents, but I don't need a metric ton of green onions to make nachos. I need TWO. The rest will be in the trash within a week. The deli is marginal at best, and that's largely based on the availability and willingness of the deli staff to help you. One time I stopped by to get some sliced roast beef. I asked for a half pound of very thinly sliced. He never adjusted the slicer and I ended up with a half pound that was about the thickness of a nickel. He didn't ask me if it was okay, he just put it in the hermetically sealed back, slapped the price sticker on, and walked away. On another visit I stood at the Deli counter for nearly ten minutes before anyone surfaced. The area between dairy and meats is a danger zone of incoming/outgoing pallets moving with amazing speed and not much regard for shoppers in and around the vicinity of the door that will open with no warning. The meat section is its own beast. I've never been a fan of Walmart's meat, and this does everything possible to reaffirm why I don't like it. For the most part it's poorly stocked, only occasionally labeled/priced correctly, and you have to pay close attention to the dates. If you're looking for seafood this is NOT the place to go, because all they have is the frozen stuff in the freezer section, leaving you with Gorton's or Van de Kamp. Checking out of this store is an adventure all to itself. They have four self-check registers (on any given day only 3 actually working) that all have cameras. More than a bit intrusive to your shopping experience, but Walmart has to have its eyes on you Every Single Moment. I'm surprised that no civil rights group has gotten up in arms about this, but Walmart doesn't care, anyway. On this note, I'm not a fan of the self-check anyway. Is it more convenient for the customer? Depends on how adept you are are the process, (some people are just too painful to watch) but what you're missing is the human interaction. OH, and there are those privacy-invading cameras as well. At first I thought the Walmart Neighborhood Market would be like a Walmart Super Center, but chop off the hardlines and the fashion, etc. Basically just the grocery section It tries to be that, but it doesn't quite hit the mark.

Out of all the pharmacies I have used in town, this has been my favorite. The staff are so fast and helpful, and it's not a chore to go pick up my medicines. They usually have multiple people working at once, so you don't have to wait long at all. They also offer things like flu shots if you are interested.
