Let me tell you!!! Being a FloridaBoy coming to Kentucky and found 119 west main restaurant was GEM!!! Started with fried sauerkraut balls that had bacon, sausage, saurkraut and cheese was delicious!!! The dipping sauce with was very good (sorry no pic or video of them they were that good)
Ended up getting the PARTY DOWN SOUTH which is Shredded buffalo chicken homemade pimento cheese, blue cheese crumbles, cheddar jack cheese with a Lil spicy kick, wrapped in 2 flower tortilla that's deep fried!!!! Sooo GOOD!!!
Then the KENTUCKY HAUTE BROWN!!!!!
Now this dish was put together very well(great creation)
Tender oven roasted turkey,COUNTRY ham, maple baccon, fried green tomato, cheesy Mornay sauce and melted cheddar over a thick slice of Texas Toast!!!!
I told the sever after I eat this i need a blanket and a pillow lol Comfort food (coma food)

And the Kentucky Bacon pie was very delicious I got it to go but it never made it to the šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

The food is usually amazing but most recently I had a burger with enough thousand island to drown a possum. I swear that plate could of lubricated thirteen rusty doors and a half a tractor.

Our server was polite and new or training someone.

Try the Gouda Mac and cheese.

Understaffed terribly today. Our food order finally arrived after waiting an hour and it wasn’t our order!! When we did receive our lunch the food was cold. The waitress was kind and apologized numerous times for problems …. Our appetizer was cold as well. The sweet tea was full of flavor.

Ate there on suggestion from hotel staff. Later found out they were featured on food network. Gigantic menu and all the different things or family tried were excellent. If your in La grange,KY give it a try.

Waitress didn’t bother to write my order down. Came back asked me what I ordered and brought out my stuff with half of it missing. Not sure why they didn’t just write my order down? Chicken was dry. Not coming back again.

My husband and I enjoyed eating here before the ghost walk in LaGrange. He got a steak, which he said was good. I got a quesadilla with pimento cheese and ham, which was unique and not bad! Staff were super friendly.

We visited the restaurant as a party of four on a Wednesday night, and it was surprisingly bustling for a midweek evening, with a lively yet comfortable atmosphere. Our server was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and efficient. They cleared dishes promptly, allowing us to linger and enjoy our conversation without feeling cluttered or rushed. The service was definitely a highlight of the evening. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, served on a hearty wheat bread. Unfortunately, the sandwich itself was a letdown. The chicken salad was dry, with a mix of shredded and chunked white chicken that didn’t quite come together. There was a hint of chipotle seasoning, which I appreciated, but the overall texture and flavor fell flat—lacking the creaminess I’d hoped for. My wife opted for the chicken salad atop a fresh green salad, and her thoughts echoed mine. The salad base was crisp, but the chicken salad itself was underwhelming, mirroring the dryness and lack of pizzazz I experienced. The accompanying potato chips, which appeared to be homemade waffle-cut, were another miss. They seemed over-fried, leaving them crispy but oddly tasteless, with no seasoning to elevate them. It was a disappointing side that didn’t add much to the meal. I will add that the fried green tomatoes were exceptional, however, the dip sauce which was included just didn’t work with the green tomatoes. As for the water, I was surprised by the strong chlorine taste—clearly unfiltered. The ice cubes were crystal-clear, but the water’s chemical aftertaste was noticeable, especially for someone like me who’s used to double-filtered water at home. It’s a small detail, but an inexpensive water filter could have made a big difference in the overall experience. Despite these drawbacks, the warm service and inviting atmosphere make me willing to give this place another try. Every restaurant has its off days, and I’m hopeful my next visit will showcase more of their potential. Your experience might differ, so it’s worth checking out for yourself!

I visited a few years back with friends whilst staying with them in La Grange, and was impressed with the fish tacos. I was back this year and on the evening of 15th September I took my friends to dinner there. A can of cold Guinness set me up and I had the fish with pineapple salsa, black beans and broccoli. It was fabulous. The fish was beautifully cooked, the beans tasty and the broccoli al dented. Enough on the plate to make a good meal but not so much that I couldn't eat it all. Perfect! I followed it up with the fried banana dish which was delightful. In fact it was so good I insisted we return the following evening as I was flying home to the UK the day after that. More Guinness, but this time I had the fish with lemon caper butter sauce, rice and broccoli. OMG! I absolutely loved it. If pushed I would pick it again over the fish with salsa, just for the sauce. It was fantastic. I finished with their signature Kentucky bacon pie. Who would have guessed that a dessert could have bacon as an ingredient and taste fabulous? Well, it is and it did. Friendly and attentive staff, tremendous food, sensible prices and a great atmosphere. If I make it back to the US next year I will be visiting again. Absolutely loved it.

We tried this restaurant a few years back and it was absolutely disgusting. We decided to give it another try in hopes that the first experience was just an off night. Sadly it’s just as terrible now as it was then. I’m honestly surprised by the good reviews.

First off, it took way too long to get our meals. The food tastes like it’s a week old. The burgers are as salty as the Atlantic. I think you could get a better meal at a hospital. Secondly the service was not friendly nor attentive.

In conclusion, we left disappointed, disgusted, and still hungry.

We arrived about 30 minutes after opening. It took close to 30 minutes to get our drinks (fountain/tea). Then almost an hour for the food. There were 2 tables of 5. Four ordered bean soup with Cornbread. Because the server wanted to bring out all the food at once, our soup was barely warm. This place came recommended, but sadly won't be returning.

Not good!
We came here from out of town to enjoy the afternoon. I found this place on Google and it had good reviews. We sat at our table for 40 minutes after ordering. We all ordered burgers and were assured they would be pink inside. They all came back Well done… The word ā€œhockey puckā€ comes to mind. The lettuce was old and wilted, and the tomatoes were very unappealing as well. The fries were even rubbery, an experience I’ve not had before.
The staff was very flustered when we complained. They did finally take off one of the burgers from our bill after a discussion with all of the workers. It seemed to be a decision by committee on how we were to be treated.
I don’t recommend this place and I would not return.
