East L.A.Grill Reviews
East L.A. Grill has the best food, hands down of any cafe/restaurant ( even the well known). They will welcome you as family. The prices can't be beat. I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants a 5 star meal.
Stopped by while in Lancaster for work and what a great find. Food was excellent and affordable, and the portions were huge. We wrote this place down as a definite must stop when down that way. Chicken shawarma sandwich and those home cut fries are an 11/10!
We drove over from Richmond last week to try East LA Grill after finding it online. We were so incredibly impressed with our experience! We love Mediterranean food so we’re always looking for new spots to try and this place is fantastic. The service was prompt and friendly from the start. We ordered the falafel appetizer, the chicken tika kebab meal, and the Turkish lamb kebab meal. I’m a big fan of hummus and garlic sauce and theirs is just so SO good. The flavors were bright...read full review

East L.A. Grill offers delicious Mediterranean food, with top-tier hummus and excellent Smashburger. The falafel and beef gyro are fantastic, light, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. The potato skins appetizer is unique and really good. The owners are sweet and friendly, creating a great small business atmosphere. Located in Lancaster, parking is easy. A hidden gem in the Midwest, every item on their menu is incredible. A must-visit restaurant with A+++ quality.
Recent reviews highlight the amazing food, especially the shawarma pizza, which is unlike anything customers have tried before and highly recommended. The 3 skewers and gyro are also praised for their size and flavor. The chicken & steak kabobs are seasoned to perfection, and the hummus and salad are full of flavor. The Turkish coffee is made fresh and with good foam, adding to the authentic experience. Service is friendly, though the staff may be shy or inexperienced, but they take good care of guests.
The shawarma pizza stands out as a favorite, and the kabobs, rice, and hummus are solid choices. Prices are reasonable, with the shawarma sandwiches and pizza offering good value. The 3 kabob meal is on the pricier side, especially since the lamb upcharge is higher than typical, but it was a special treat.
Some minor concerns include the garlic sauce, which could be thicker and more potent, and a few flies on a warm day. The place looks a bit down home and not the cleanest, but there is no obvious uncleanliness or mold. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming.
Customers have called the hummus the best in Kentucky and praised the food as an explosion of flavors. Many find the staff friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. The shawarma pizza is a highlight, and the overall food quality often exceeds expectations. Parking remains easy, and the authentic dishes, like the shawarma pizza and kabob platter, make the trip worthwhile. While prices for the 3 skewers and lamb upcharge can be higher, the food's freshness and flavor make it a great choice for a casual, cozy meal.
