Great food. Some dishes like the broccoli casserole had a unique twist and was fantastic. Very reasonably priced.

The steak was ok. Everything else was solid! And so affordable. Seldom do I give a five star when the food isn’t five stars, but the ambiance just feels homey to warrant it. Beyond that, at 6AM, the locals are already there eating - a sign of the area.

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast while traveling through the area. It was a seat yourself place so we sat at the counter. The waitress was nice but clearly new. There was another waitress there who also seemed nice. Finally one more person who appeared to be the manager or owner. My husband ordered The Cedarwood and I ordered a breakfast sandwich. I ordered eggs, bacon and cheese on toast. I asked what kind of cheese they had and I was told American, pepper jack or Swiss. I asked for Swiss. When my order came out I didn’t see any cheese on it. Our food was brought out by the other waitress, not the one who took our order. I told her there was suppose to be cheese on it, she asked what kind, and I told her Swiss. She went to the back and brought me out two slices of American. I again told her it was suppose to be Swiss. I took a bit of it and told her it was definitely not Swiss. She insisted it was and told me that’s what they use for Swiss. At that point I gave up and just ate my sandwich as it was. After 2 bites I realized there was cheese on it. A very small amount and it was…. American. My husbands food was just “eh”. The ham was very salty. Other than that it wasn’t terrible and wasn’t anything to rave about. All in all, the food was edible but I will definitely not be returning.

The KY Hotbrown was great - although this was the first to have shredded cheese. A lot of turkey, some dark meet too. A couple pieces of bacon, topped with a slice of tomato. The portion was too much, so I get to eat the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. While my lunch date enjoyed his biscuits and gravy.
