This place was a little out of the way but it is definitely worth the drive! The food was fantastic, some of the best catfish I’ve ever had! The staff were some of the friendliest folks you’ll ever meet and the whole place was spotless!

Their hospitality matches the cozy, farmhouse-style feel that other guests notice as well, where you immediately feel at home rather than like a customer just passing through.
They treated us to an assortment of cake balls, and we tried every flavor they had on offer; the bourbon variety stood out as our favorite, with a rich, smooth sweetness that pairs perfectly with their coffee. The attention to detail in their baked goods reflects the broader reputation of Mel’s for home‑cooked food and memorable desserts that keep people coming back.
The coffee itself was exactly what we were looking for: hot, flavorful, and brewed to the strength we needed after a long day on the road. Mel’s already enjoys a local reputation for great coffee, and our visit confirmed why, each cup felt carefully prepared rather than just poured.

My mom and I had lunch at Mel's for the first time today. It was great, hot delicious made from scratch food, specials, buffet options, desserts and shopping what else ya need?! Loved meeting the owner and her daughters! We'll definitely be going back with the family next time!
Service was good at first but waited a long time to be able to pay and a to go box. Foods ok but not in a hurry to return.
