Restful place

We stayed in a nice little room and loved the lake views. Everything was clean, ac worked nice. For being in the literal middle of nowhere, it offers a great way to access the lake. The people were super nice and helpful but it is a big place and you can only staff so many people for a place that size. Given the constraints, I felt the service was very good. We had dinner at the buffet which was great for the price. Servers were awesome and they had a great live music player we really enjoy who sang country roads for my daughter. Super nice guy. Next day we rented a boat. Deck hand was super helpful and made sure the boat was fueled up and 100% ready to go. Everything ran great we ran for over 10 miles up and down, went to the beach a few times, just a great overall experience. If you want to bring towables and rent a pontoon, make sure you get the red one.

We ate at the restaurant and the service and food was awesome. I highly recommend!!! 7/19/25 We had the privilege of spending the night in the condo which was awesome. The room was great and the service we received was even better. Thank you

Wonderful place. Great vibe. Great views. Sweet and attentive staff!

You think food would be great if you had to wait an hour for it. I could’ve got food this good at a gas station will be the last time I ever go there. Don’t see how a place like this stays in business.

Went to the restaurant for a Sunday lunch. It was a terrible visit. Ordered our food and at 35 minutes we were told the Lewisburger takes longer to cook. At 55 minutes waiting the poor server came out and said her boss had thrown our order away. The manager made the server come out and tell us and did not own up to the screw up. This was on June 1st 2025. We heard this place had been under new ownership. We thought we would give it another try. We live not far from the beach place and let all our Dunmor area friends that the place is just awful. Too high priced and horrible service.

It’s a real shame I have to give this place 1 star but it was well earned. Please do better. We waited about 15 minutes and after we were told an inside table would be cleaned and we could be seated, we were then asked if we would mind sitting outside. Clearly because the high school staff didn’t want to clean it. They have nice new menu’s but the selection of food is basic: it’s either fried or a burger with simple sides. Not even an option for a side salad anymore. My husband and I settled on 2 burgers and 2 fountain drinks. Nothing out of this world. For the record, when seating customers, there should be utensils and napkins already available. This is basic stuff. BASIC for any establishment. Our food came out (after 20+ minutes) and we had to ask for both. (Nothing like serving a greasy burger and fries only to have to wipe my hands on what, my pants? Hello?) Not to mention half of my husband’s order was incomplete. To top it off, it was $45. The meal wasn’t worth $25. Not sure where the owner/manager was but I cannot stress again PLEASE. DO. BETTER. These are basic things. We are never going back there again. And they wonder why they cannot get returning customers. It’s such a nice place but bad food and worse service. Hard pass.

There was no confusion - YOU were RUDE - Owner Blocked us on FB after this review - - Drove from Owensboro for Mother's Day lunch here with my wife and special needs son. Our son has a dog that travels with us. The dog is small by design and clearly marked as a ESA. We were met by the hostess and asked for an outside table. The hostess walked all of us (including our ESA) through the restaurant and by the buffet. We were seated at an outside table under the building's shade cover the whole table. A waitress came and took our drink orders and asked if the ESA would like a cup of water. The waitress re-appeared and told us that we would all have to move a table out in the Sun. My response was that were weren't moving out in the Sun (our son burns easily). The waitress would check with the manager who had just sent her out there to tell us we HAD to move instead of coming herself. A manager then appeared and said the owner would not allow any animal service or otherwise on the deck next to the building. They would agree to put up an umbrella over the table set up on the peeling painted slab. I said we were didn't care to be reseated and ordered our drinks. She told us we could not sit near the building because the Board of Health required us to move BECAUSE of the buffet inside of the restaurant! We told her that the ESA would not be eating the buffet and I said we were didn't care to be reseated. The manager said she would check with the owner again but came back and said we had to move tables or the wouldn't serve us. We agreed to leave and the walked us THROUGH THE BUFFET line AGAIN with our little SERVICE DOG in tow. Our family will never spend another dime (my wife & I have been here several times). I will tell everyone I meet this story. This place is dead to us!! I have more reviews to post about this experience!!🤬😡🤬

A very nice place. I stayed over the Mother’s Day weekend.
While this is by no stretch of the imagination a Hampton Inn or Double Tree. The room was just fine.
We ate across the road at the restaurant, the menu is small but I had one of their burgers and it was good. The deep fried pickles were fantastic.
What may have been missing on the menu was made up for by a wonderful waitress who was very focused n making sure we had what we needed.
We drove from Wisconsin which was a beautiful drive this time of year.
What a great view in the mornings and it is very close to an awesome State Park!
Thanks for a very nice stay. I w

The restaurant on the lake was amazing. We had the Sunday brunch. The brunch was delicious, the lake was peaceful, and a beautiful place to eat outside and enjoy the lake and trees.
The service was great! Thank you, Madison!

Restaurant: Very slow service. We waited almost 1.5 hours for our food. We all had sliders or chicken strips. The sliders were as thick as a nickel. The menu is VERY small and simple, so food should have been flying out of that kitchen. We watched other families with small children wait in agony for their food. Online menu isn't close to their real menu. They better change something soon, I don't see them making it for long.
