The food was ok but nothing special. The Tom Kha soup had way too much sugar, so did the Wealthy Tofu. The fried tofu was tasteless and dried out, although the steamed tofu was quite good in the soup. The Schezwan Eggplant was quite good, mostly because the eggplant was cooked and seasoned well. Most importantly, even though we ordered the extremely hot spice level, it wasn't exactly spicy or hot.
The hostess wasn't very polite to my deaf friend who simply wanted to let her know she enjoyed the food. She removed plates that we were using to share. I smiled she glared. The food is delicious. The next time I came it was order to go.
Archa Nine is definetely one of the best spots for Thai Food in Lexington. Their selection of Vegetarian, and Vegan Thai food is great and just as filling and rich as their other non-vegetarian/vegan menu items. Their customer service is fairly quick when you are seated, but before you are seated you get ignored quite often even when it's not busy.
