First time and last time to Banners. Our servers were great. Taylor and Bentley where fab and gave top notch service. The food and drinks were great as well. How can you run a sports bar with over 50 percent of ur customers wearing bengals gear, not to mention it being the closest professional football team to Lexington and even after being asked not switch the sound to the game the majority of people are watching. Bummer wanted to love it.

Catch the right band and you'll have a great time here
Gotta vent about my last visit. Twice, the bartender got my order wrong. The server apologized but twice?

My husband and I have visited a couple of times in the past couple of weeks. It had been a little bit since we had visited due to the pandemic and what I felt like was a decline in the food quality. The first visit was after my husband had gotten off after work and he needed something to eat and some quality time together. We got the skins, and the Club Sandwich and it was delicious (I had one bite). They are open till 2:30 no matter what and there was no band, so it was very enjoyable. When there is a band it's just too loud and crowded. We sat at the bar, so service is fast, and our needs were met. In and out no problem!
This past week we went twice, the first night we both got tacos. He had the steak and I the fish and they were everything I wanted and probably some of the best fish tacos I have had. The fish was flaky and fried just right and the toppings were just enough to not be too messy and ruin the texture of the taco. My husband's steak ones were very good too. Last night's trip was after work and again no band, (which we prefer) seem to be the regulars there having a good time and we didn't have to wait long for service. My husband had one of the burgers and it was of ample size and deliciousness served with chips that are made in house and have just the right amount of seasoning and crunch. I had the BLT and let's get into it.... For a BLT, this was one of the best I have ever had, even at home. The bread was toasted with butter like a grilled cheese, so it held up and had good crunch. It was not overpowered with lettuce nor tomato and was well dressed in mayo. And they definitely did not skimp on the bacon! Most places will give you a couple of slices torn in half and call it a day. Banners BLT had probably six (6) full slices to make up this sandwich and brought it all together. That is how you make a BLT and is probably one of my favorite sandwiches now.
My only complaint was/is that the music is most times too loud for the space, but never a deal breaker.
Will be going back as a late-night stop with the hubs and because I love to support local businesses. I'll try better to take pics next time, just like to be in the moment not on a phone.

The Old Guys Pub Crawl loved this place. Of all the places we have been I have not commented on the food but the club sandwich here makes me want to return for another. And, they serve beer. The old guys that travel with the crawl love beer.

Great neighborhood sports bar. My only complaint is that occasionally, some patrons let their kids run a little wild through the place. But the staff, the food, the drinks are all too notch. Great place to watch a game.

It’s hard to see an unbiased review. But I’m not from Kentucky so I don’t care. I only review food upon the quality regardless of where it is. Obviously this is a bar for sports so the food is mid at best. I would eat here only if I happen to be in the area. The food isn’t great. The service is made as well full of sports enthusiast and older racists.

I live near Cincinnati but I work in Lexington a couple nights ago week so I order carry out most Thursday nights while I'm in town. I absolutely love Banners and their food! Wish we had one where I live! I didn't catch the manager's name that's there most Thursday nights (man with light brownish/grey mixed colored hair), but he's always very friendly and helpful. I notice him running around helping the staff and checking on customers as well as helps us most times at carry out pickup. He's doing a great job in his management role. They're always packed wall to wall when I go in there. Food is always great, and our carryout orders are always correct (not missing any items like most orders at other restaurants).
Keep up the great work Banners team!
