This is the second time I’ve eaten here. And both times were outstanding. This time we had the paella -we couldn’t wait to dive in. That’s why the pictures show that most of it is gone, but you can look at their pictures. It was fantastic!
If you’ve never been make a reservation and go. a lot of the appetizers are tapas style so don’t think it’s all you can eat hog trough. Hint— if you make reservations tell them you want yo have the paella ready about 30 -40 minutes after you arrive to give you time to sample some appetizers. We ordered the small which fed two people but should have ordered the large to have leftovers. Prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food that I’ve had has been tremendous. Show them some love.

drove 20 minutes to get there and its completely dark. No note on the door or anything! Both Google and their Facebook page say they are open until 3:00 on Wed. Complete waste of an hour. Restaurants that do this don't stay around very long
We were happy to wait 40 minutes for the paella but the dish was very disappointing. The seafood was cooked perfectly but the under seasoned white rice fell short. No vegetables and no saffron which I realize is very expensive. Either substitute turmeric or don't serve this dish. I also did not enjoy the sangria - very cloudy (fruit juice?) with chopped apples.

Barzelona has turned out to be one of my favorite spots in Lexington. The food is beyond amazing, service is excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. I’ve had pretty much every appetizer in the list, and last time I had the paella, which was just… glorious!!
I strongly suggest you try the sangria as well. It is soooo refreshing and delicious!!
I also have a kind recommendation: if you’re not open to new flavors, please don’t visit. It’s a waste of their time and talent (for this or any other international cuisine place) to spend their energy making tacos and burgers for patrons that cannot appreciate the beauty and richness of other culture’s food. Also, please understand that this is a place where every dish is made from scratch and that there is one fabulous server that takes care of everyone, so service may not be as expedited as the average American is used to, and preparation times are longer, since they do not keep precooked items. Being that said, please show your cultural competence and be willing to be patience and enjoy two or three tapas while you wait for a huge plate of paella to share, or have some patatas bravas, gambas al ajillo and portobello aglio as your whole dinner. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

So excited to try Barcelona style Tapas in Lexington. Small restaurant and server was nice however the food they provide was tasteless!! We tried three dishes but just salty and spicy. No flavor.
If anyone tried the Tapas in Barcelona, Spain you would not like this place.
Really nice place! Great food, great service!!! ?

The food is an bit overpriced. Specially the large seafood paella. It didn’t taste like a true Spanish dish and for $45, this plate left a lot to say. It looked better than what it tasted. The guacamole that came with the tostones tasted bitter. Other than the food, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice. Their sangria is really good ?

We love it every time we go! The food is excellent and even though the wine list isn't long, the wines offered a great for a restaurant. Staff is small, but the food is AMAZING! Great pricing for what is offered. A serious gem in LEX.
