I got the burger it was decent! They forgot the topping on it but no biggie we fixed it, they brought me the toppings, the bbq sample pladder was not good at all, the food comes in sauce cups, yes they served the meat portions in sauce cups ! For $26 they gave you 2 sauce cups with meat in them, the meat was not very tasty in my opinion, not feeling for $26! Probably about 6 bites of food, for $26, wasn’t sure who my server was ! The server at the bar was great tho, my server never saw her but 2 times to order and for the check & I had to beg to get the check, spent $50 and walked out hungry, wings and burgers are a safe choice tho

Could not have been a nicer, more festive casual bar atmosphere on a chilly Dec night. Excellent sevice. Clean bathrooms. Good cocktails. Duck wontons were amazing. Mac and cheese only okay and while the BBQ pork was excellent, its ratio to the mac and amount of sauce was overwhelming. Teriaki chix bowl was great except the actual chicken was suspiciously square looking. Weak coffee and how are you out of a dessert pie that's printed on your laminated menus?

I hate giving 1 star reviews so I waited 2 weeks to make sure I still feel the same.

We had reservations for 6, the wait was minimal. Atmosphere is cool, restrooms are clean.
Waitress got my order wrong. Then wanted to tell me I was wrong, when everyone at my table heard what I ordered. I would have taken what they tried to serve me if I had gotten an apology or an offer at a reduced price. Instead I got attitude because she said I ordered something I didn’t. She didn’t come back for refills and after everyone else ate and was ready to leave my poorly cooked BLT shows up. Bread was so hard and cold, it wasn’t manageable. Bacon was half cooked and tomatoes tasted frozen.
I felt like it was retaliation for the order mix up. How could everything about it be that bad?
There was no offer of a discount, no apology, nothing. I love a good spot to hang out and enjoy drinks with friends. At first glance, it would appear to be that. It is not a place I would pick for future events.

A few weeks ago we were at a restaurant that messed up our order. The manager came to our table, explained the problem, comped our meal, and we left with a great impression of the establishment.
We visited the Bear and the Butcher with high expectations. It was a Friday night and they were busy, so we expected things to be slow. However, as we watched tables seated after us receive begin to receive their food, our server just kept saying , "I'll check," and "your food should be out soon." It was almost 2 hours from the time we were seated until our meals arrived. We were told they were sorry it took so long, but never offered an explanation.
It's hard to accurately evaluate the food when the service is lacking. What food we were finally served was good, but not great. It's high end bar food and with a better experience I may have enjoyed it more.
UPDATE: The day after I posted this review I was contacted by the GM of the restaurant, and we had a very pleasant conversation. I was impressed that they read their reviews and respond professionally. We were invited back to the restaurant and will definitely give them another shot.

Loved the welcome and honesty being from out of town the menu was a bit overwhelming but our bartender walked us thru it every bit of the way. The wings were great and the sauce had a good kick that I was missing from home. Shrimp tacos were beautifully presented and overall we can’t wait to come back next time. Texas loves you ??

Had a reservation. Stood at the door while hostess chatted with a friend for a few minutes then said she would come back. Was seated upstairs, took another 15 minutes to get drinks ordered. Got fried chicken and chicken wings. Both were unfortunately dry because they looked great before tasting. Seems like the place is just under staffed, and poorly trained so I don't want to blame the servers, but they just seemed overwhelmed, and it was just a Thursday with nothing going on. Very loud inside as well, was recommended to try this place and was let down. Tipped our server generously as we just felt bad, seemed like a lot was out of her control and she was very apologetic about the service without us even bringing anything up. I might try again in the future maybe when its less busy to see if it gets better.
First time for us! From Indiana just here to visit and stop here for dinner. Pearl was very nice and took good care of us! I do recommend this place if you can!

This is a no from me n my family. Front host was not only useless but quite rude. This isn’t a “Do you have a reservation” kinda place. Even so, if you don’t and half the restaurant is empty they could have at least tried. I’m sure the owner will justify in whatever way, but they could have done better… Carson’s thanks you.
