I absolutely love Beau’s Cafe. It’s one of those places that just gets everything right. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and the kind of space you actually want to linger in—whether you’re meeting a friend, having a casual business conversation, or just enjoying a quiet cup of coffee. I typically get 1 pancake and split the Burrito with whomever I’m with. Both are phenomenal. And their coffee is sourced from Sunergos, and is always spot on.

The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care about the experience they’re creating. The food is fresh and delicious. I’ve been fortunate to have some conversations with the owners, their attention to detail and food quality is above and beyond. I’m happy to pay a premium for local, fresh ingredients, prepared in a unique way.

If you’re in Lexington and looking for a go-to spot with great vibes, great people, and great coffee, Beau’s is it.

*VIP tip - a weekday coffee meeting or book club session is ideal in their booths which are typically always available during the week. If you go on the weekend, be prepared for a wait. The secret is out, Beaus is legit delicious. Don’t be in a rush, put your name on the list, do some grocery shopping or head to the Beaumont library to pass the time. It’s worth it.

The service is very friendly, top-notch. It's a very nice place. The potatoes are excellent.

The coffee and the espresso are quite bad, unfortunately. The coffee is a bit sour and the espresso is far too sour to drink. This shortcoming is not unique to Beau's however; most cafes make terrible coffee and espresso. Lane at Java Jukebox gets it right, he makes some of the best coffee and espresso I've ever had.

Espresso should be earthy, smokey, some sweetness. Make sure to use very dark beans, a coarser grind (it should not be ground to a powder), and try using a little bit less coffee. You will get a much better pull.

Confounds me that cafes spend $10,000 on an espresso machine but they never learn to use it very well.

Also, the sausage is too thick and tough.

But you can tell everyone there wants to do a great job And I'm pulling for them.

The sausage biscuit was delicious and the egg was perfect. It was busy and the serves kept my drinks filled! Will definitely be back

My neurologist suggested we treat ourselves to lunch at Beau's so we did. We weren't sure of the vibe walking in...very hipster, they/them... and that's fine just not my usual cup of tea. As we sat there I began to appreciate the vibe and the place...I liked it alot. It reminds me of Starbucks before it went corporate gigantor. Very relaxed, 'hip' and the food...oh man. We both got the egg/sausage biscuit. Wonderfully prepared sausage and egg...the biscuit was a little different for me but I liked it...my wife too. We're going to try the pancakes next time...they're tall, fluffy and look amazing. Our server was great.. very kind, courteous and professional young person. Thank you for the experience.

Visited this place on Sunday, 01/18, and it was absolutely worth it! Definitely plan to arrive about 30 minutes early since it gets packed quickly. Pro tip: try to find a seat near the bar—no need to be on the waitlist. The staff is super sweet and welcoming, which made the experience even better.
The coffee was excellent; I tried the mocha and loved it. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The hot jam chicken was delicious, the breakfast potatoes were amazing, and the crispy chicken was really good as well. On top of that, the prices are very affordable.
Highly recommend this place—great food, great coffee, and great vibes!

We waited for two hours and by the time we get seated they are out of the one food we came to try, pancakes. Very disappointing to have people wait that long and be out of food. We got here around 11. May give it another chance in the future, but definitely not worth the wait when they run out of food.

There was a long wait, but I got lucky because I was solo. Got to sit almost as soon as I walked in and was placed at the bar. I ordered the Dutch Baby. It was delicious without being overly sweet.

This place is banging! I’ve never gotten so excited over a biscuit before! Everything on the menu is expertly crafted and well-executed to the point of transcending the typical brunch experience. You know everyone loves this place because there are always people there. People who say otherwise are a snooze.

We have become regulars. They have become more well known so it’s taking longer to get seated but the food is worth the wait. We wont eat at restaurants that aren’t farm to table anymore due to the unhealthy ingredients. Thank you for providing a delicious healthy option!

Food was outstanding, not your typical menu, but the chef has created a variety of food to meet anyone’s expectations. Outstanding specials that will blow you away.
