The newly relocated Blue Door is terrific. Bigger, brighter, outdoor seating and parking lot. The large "garage like door" opens up to the outside seating area. The BBQ is still the same. Best in town. Go get your Q on. 31

Best BBQ in the state of Kentucky and I’m from Owensboro. Where that might be considered a hot take. I stand by my words. Brisket is heavenly. The sausage snaps as soon as you bite in and melts in your mouth. To top it off, the potato salad is better than grandma’s (please don’t tell her), & the greens take me back to Mississippi.

Great food! I prefer a little more smoke but everything had great flavor. The collards and potato salad were the best sides in my humble opinion. Super rustic cute and service was helpful and very polite. Food came out very fast too. Will be back.

If you ever in Lexington and looking for great BRISKET, you have got to stop in at the Blue Door Smokehouse. They have 3 different sauces (spicy, sweet, and mustard), creamy and vinegary coleslaw. The collard greens are not quite Moms, but they are good.The place is small and homey, and the staff is great! The Blue Door could really use a larger restaurant, this is the only fault with restaurant.By far, hands down the Blue Door Smokehouse is the best BBQ in Lexington!
The brisket is in my top 5 all time, amazing. The ribs were also good, fall off the bone, but the brisket...Nice place, friendly people, I'll go back.
