Finally a coffee place that knows how to make actual espresso in Lexington! Tastes like I am sitting at my favorite coffee shop in Brasov Romania

Brevede Coffee is such a hidden gem! It offers a calm and welcoming vibe that makes it stand out from other Lexington coffee shops. As a UK student, it’s farther from campus, but totally worth it. The cozy cafe and cute building makes it feel homey, and the quiet atmosphere is perfect for studying. I went on a weekday afternoon, and it wasn’t crowded at all, which made it even more relaxing. The staff was super kind and welcoming, the service was fast, and the whole place just had a peaceful and easygoing energy. When I visited, I ordered an iced latte which was amazing and had the perfect amount of flavor. Plus, it’s right by some cute shops and restaurants, so it’s easy to make a little trip out of it. I definitely recommend Brevede for chill vibes, excellent service, and great coffee! It’s a great spot to focus or unwind.

Brevede Coffee in Lexington is honestly one of the nicest coffee spots I’ve been to. It’s right next to my apartment so I stopped by to try it out and was surprised by how calm and relaxing the atmosphere is, the inside is small but really clean and modern with warm lighting and plants that make it cozy. The staff was super nice and helped me figure out what to get since it was my first time there. I got a Matcha latte with vanilla which you can see in the photo. It tasted fresh and smooth not very sweet, but it was still good. There’s also a nice outdoor area with table and chairs where you can sit and study or hang out it’s quiet and peaceful not overcrowded but still had a good amount of people inside. I definitely give it a five out of five and plan to go back soon.

I typically show grace and have never left a bad review in my life, but today I visited this location around 3:00 and requested an iced caramel macchiato for my girlfriend . The barista insisted that it’s just an iced latte, and if I wanted something like “Starbucks” it would be an iced latte. Understanding the barista looks inexperienced, I said that’s ok. I tried to give subtle clues as to how one is made. With as rude context she implied they don’t exist and asked me if I wanted a traditional hot macchiato. I said “no thanks” and just waited for my doppio instead, obviously pulled too long and not smooth, but that’s ok. I can handle mid espresso/coffee as long as the service is good. Customer service/obsession is a basic business principle for success. I had high expectations for a shop that boasts onyx, etc…but I was let down. Please coach your associates on basic soft skills, and how to understand the fundamental difference with latte vs macchiato espresso+milk layering and ratios (google is free when in doubt). My girlfriend didn’t get a drink, and you’ve lost a potential customer. Never have assumed biases. I don’t go to Starbucks. There are better local shops than this around Lex. I’ll be spreading the word.

The cup size is very small and they run out of cold brew fairly regularly.

This place is hands down the best coffee place in Lexington. If you're looking for Starbuck's, go to Starbuck's. If you're looking for a REAL European coffee experience in your own back yard, this is the place. I've been to many coffee places in Europe, and Brevede is fully on par. Be aware before you go, they're very busy at peak times, and you may have to wait. The staff go above and beyond to keep the quality of every drink up to a very high standard. The girl who waited on me (Adalhi) was super friendly, and professional! Fast food is for McDonalds. Fast coffee is for Starbuck's. Great coffee is for this place. Add some class to your life and go here.

Absolutely love Brevede Coffee at Chevy Chase! Both the coffee and tea are great and the butter croissants are also lovely. Employees are very pleasant and skilled. But what makes this location so special are the many different areas to sit and gather. Inside are several private, cozy areas and larger more public areas plus you can sit outside.
