We had Laurie as our server last night and it was such a pleasure. She had great suggestions, even one to save us money, was so super friendly and always smiling. We love the book store and go to the bistro often. BUT the service is awful. There are enough servers they just disappear! Don’t come to check after they deliver a meal. We had a complaint and couldn’t find anyone to talk to. Finally someone saw my husband looking around. (The servers were sitting in the back not doing anything - it looked like). The kitchen is just lazy. My girlfriend asked for a grilled cheese sandwich with no tomato. When they brought the food to the table it had a tomato in it.
The server apologized and then proceeded to grab the sandwich with her hands and take it to the back while saying it was going to be thrown out since it was wrong.
She then came back to the table with a “new” sandwich in less than a minute and handed it...
