Carson's Food & Drink - At Andover

This had previously been one of my favorite restaurants to dine at in the Lexington area until my horrible experience on 6/21/25 It was me and one other person dining and we initially had a table on the outside dining area and that first server was excellent for the short time we had him, he greeted us with a smile and great energy ask if we were dining for a special occasion etc. we ended up switching to the inside dining area for a more comfortable booth table, the server that we had inside was dismissive, inconsistent, and overall unhelpful her initial greet wasn’t friendly at all she opted out of asking us why we were visiting, she incorrectly ordered food and added extra items that wasn’t requested, when the food arrive she did not approach the table after to ask if everything looked or tasted ok my friend needed condiments for her food, I seen her go to a nearby table several times with a different attitude than what was presented to us, as I seen her going by us and were waiting for her to approach she walked by and i politely stated “excuse me when you get a chance we need you” she held her finger up and signaled for me to wait a min. After our dinner she didn’t ask or present us with a dessert menu. Overall this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a Carson’s location and It made me not want to return, I’m a frequent customer and some servers even know me by name there. I spoke to the manager about to experience and hopefully her actions will be handled appropriately and she’s coached on where she went wrong. The servers name was “Beatrice”

We ate for the first time at the Andover location and had the best meal we’ve had in a long time. Service was excellent. We both had the chopped wedge salad, wagyu burger, broccoli topped with smoked Gouda sauce, macaroni with smoked Gouda, and shared a slice of peanut butter pie. Every bit of our meal was amazing! We can’t wait to go back and try something else on the menu.

Wonderful time. Beautiful facility. We were seated out back so the noise level was quiet compared to the more moderate levels in the main area.

Food was fantastic as always and the wait staff including our waitress Julie went above and beyond all of our expectations.

Second time visit. Recommend making reservations. We had the cheese pretzels as an appetizer to kick things off followed by chicken parmesan with pesto and the Bourbon steak. Everything was prepared and presented perfectly. Service started out well, but as the evening moved along we saw less of our server. 30 minutes to get desert, and then 20 more for the check. We ordered several gift certificates for gifts but ended up leaving after another 15 min wait.

Our food was incredible! Our server was so kind and prompt with her service. We had an assortment of entrées from ribs to an amazing pasta/fruit salad. The drinks were well made, and beautiful as well. Flavors were exquisite.

We had our annual birthday dinner for 7 of us with November birthdays. It was a very busy place but our server did a great job. We thoroughly enjoyed it

Came on Friday night. Place was busy, 1hr 30 wait. So was pretty excited to eat when we finally got sat. Pretty much down hill from there. Service was SLOW. Like did they forget about us slow, not fine dining slow. Bar drinks were okay, but waiting 10 minutes for a watered down bloody mary and an d fashioned seemed like a lot. App was good, entrees not so much. Which the manager did take off bill, but to basically wait 90 minutes to eat nachos just didn't live up to the hype of this place.

The new location is absolutely beautiful! The food and drinks were AMAZING and our server Jacqueline was so awesome!! We will definitely be back

Perfect atmosphere, great food, and excellent cocktails. Very different vibe compared to the downtown location, but I believe the food menu is the same.

Traveled from Louisville to celebrated my MIL birthday. Waited over 20 minutes to be seated, despite having reservations. Waited another 10 to be greeted by our server. Our server seemed to be over-seated and distracted, therefore our service was subpar. There are food runners but our food took almost an hour to reach the table. Some food was steaming while other plates were cold. The manager walked by a few times, never approached our table, to greet us, or apologize.
I will say it is a beautiful restaurant.
The floors are slippery, so be careful.
