Centro was exactly what I’d expect from a classy downtown Lexington bar. The atmosphere was fun, welcoming, and perfectly decorated for the vibe of a college town.
The highlight of my visit was the bartender, Madi—a senior at the University of Kentucky—who couldn’t have been sweeter or more genuine. She brought so much personality and charm to the experience, all with that unmistakable Kentucky twang. She served me the most delicious strawberry mule I’ve ever had, perfectly mixed and served in a cute copper Tito’s mug.
Between the drinks, the atmosphere, and the people, everything about Centro felt spot on. I’ll definitely be back!

Asked bar tender to split the checks.. he charged my card for 5 peoples shots and threw my card down and said “Venmo each other or something. figure it out”. Awful service. I didn’t even have Venmo so all the charges were stuck with me.

We wandered in here because an adjacent bar I'd eyed on Maps was closed despite their listing. It was excellent! The bartender was friendly, took care of us the whole time and made spectacular cocktails (his old fashioned was particularly nice).

charged me and my friends 14 extra dollars on our cards for no reason at all. each of us found separate charges on our bank statements aside from the actual drinks we purchased. not tip, we gave cash tip. it’s sad they try to steal money from customers. I’m a waitress so I understand wanting some extra cash, however this isn’t the way to do it
I went to Centro with my significant other to attempt to enjoy a drink. Upon entrance I was greeted by RUDE AND DISTASTEFUL body language from their “security guard/bouncer” because I didn’t have my ID out. He said absolutely NO WORDS to us when we walked up, just assumed that we knew he was looking for our IDs.. After letting him know we couldn’t read his mind and didn’t know what he wanted us to give him, he SHOO’ED us off like KIDS! This caused us to get upset, I asked to speak with a MANAGER.. he told me “NO, YOU ALL ARE NOT ALLOWED AT THIS PLACE OF BUSINESS NOW”.. I attempted to walk in anyway and he then PUT HIS HANDS ON A WOMAN TO PUSH HER OUT OF THE DOOR.
I WAS NOT ABLE TO SPEAK WITH A MANAGER AT ALL AND ENDED UP HAVING TO LEAVE THE ESTABLISHMENT. OVERALL I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS l ESTABLISHMENT TO PEOPLE WHO ARE AFRICAN AMERICAN BECAUSE HE STATED THAT WE WERE NO LONGER WELCOMED SIMPLY BECAUSE WE DIDNT ALREADY HAVE OUR IDS OUT.

Was my go-to bar in downtown Lexington. Nice open bar that has outdoor seating and is dog friendly, so I'd bring mine with me. The bartenders are always super friendly and the atmosphere is quite relaxing.My favorite drink is the strawberry mule, but I've tried their other specialty drinks/shots and they are all delicious!Always a good time!

Amazing, the atmosphere was stoked, it was our first day out and the vibe was chill and sexy. Some of the most beautiful women I have seen in a long time in one proximity...I needed that setting to calm my broken nerves. I will return. The music was amazing, the guests were friendly, the women were gorgeous and I love Lexington. It's amazing. Centro was more then. Have expected. It's modern, progressive, chill.. Lexington. I will most definitely return to that blessed establishment.......Bravo!!?
