Cinco de Mayo Mexican Restaurant

We went to Cinco De Mayo Monday, May 12, 2025 for the first time ever. I was looking for tamales and they have them. When we walked in the guy there assumed we were dining in. When I said to go his attitude changed immediately. He seemed very agitated and didn’t really want to serve us. His demeanor was very cold. I almost changed my mind but I really wanted those tamales. After he took our order he said he would be back with the food, and after about 20-25 min he came back with our order and say it on a table. When we got home I opened up my order and I knew something was wrong. The tamales were steak when I ordered beef and they were old and cold. The rice and beans were not appealing at all. My husband ordered street tacos and I ate one of his, which was good, but that’s not what I wanted. My husband told me later that the tacos affected his stomach something awful. I wanted to go back and try the entire menu but I have changed my mind. I told my husband I believe the manager (or whoever he is) got angry because we decided to do take out AND because we are black patrons. I understand why I never walked in that place before and Cinco De Mayo will not see anymore of my money ever again. If I could give it NEGATIVE stars I would.

They piled too much stuff into a single bag while also not closing the lids thus causing cheese and salsa to spill in the back of the car

Food is always a 10/10

We dined here me and my Family. The waitress approached to take our order. Then other clients come she just jumped to the new clients and she left us. Then after she come back th. Still taking our order she saw another clients coming she also went to the new clients before she finished taking our order Three times. When she come back we asked her something to drink she brought drink’s without straws. Waited for straws. Still not ordering food. The. Eventually when no new clients coming she took our order. They brought food without silver ware (fork/spoon) We asked for forks gentleman come with plastic silver ware and he throw them on our table. Without even saying we don’t have real silver ware sorry. They definitely treated us like Dogs. I would say They praise white forks like their God. Very racist place for black clients to dine.

Can't follow simple instructions on a typed out mobile order.. Its printed right on the order slip in bold capital letters.. And they still screw it up.

The food was great, and the price was reasonable, service friendly, and gracious. Most definitely going back.

Worst experience ever. Half of the entrees were wrong. Server accused my wife of ordering wrong entree when this was not the case. Horrible horrible horrible. Will never be back. Do not visit this place. You will be wasting your money.

The food was pretty good. It was hot as all get out though and the fact you can't use touchtunes was really annoying. It kept taking my money.
