Ice cream is delicious, service was wonderful

Just left and the employee did not wash hands at all. He was doing dishes in the back and then came and scooped icecream w his bare hands and then stuck his fingers in the cone when he was grabbing it. My friends got icecream but I couldn’t do it after seeing this. Bare hands are normal sometimes but if not washed I feel like that has to be a health code violation..

Everything and everyone was great, I even tipped them $5. I sat with my grandbaby and daughter to eat when the young lady went to put the BOGO free sign for the apples. I asked, so it's BOGO free, she says "yeah I just put the sign up sorry".
Lol, I literally just purchased a $10 apple and you had to wait for me to sit down then put the sign up. The least you could have done was wait for us to leave. Smh

I’m so sad about having to write this review bc it’s the first time I’ve had a visit like this at cold Stone creamery since they came to Lexington in the 2000s. I worked at both locations and never seen or had the experience I’ve had today. So I always get a small ice cream with about five toppings And pay about $12-$13. Today at this location in Lexington next to the Fayette Mall, When I asked for the topping of peanut butter, he scooped me out a tad bit on a spoon, not even a full spoon of peanut butter. And I thought he was just being stingy so I feel the spoon up because that’s what they do. Give me a spoon of peanut butter. Gave me another Tad bit. At this point, I was like OK AnyWhoo. But here’s the kicker when we get to the register I saw the price jump from $12 to 20-ish.. And I’m waiting for the price to drop because I’m not sure what he is calculating. He asked me for my phone number and I said wait that says $20 and he said yeah because all of your toppings, And I’m like I got Five toppings (barely) also I asked for extra oreo because they typically give you one Oreo in a small. I thought great but had no clue it would be for $1.19.. so he literally charged me $1.19 for each time he dipped into the peanut butter which was three total times that made up of one spoonful- this is crazy. so I said I’ve never paid $20 for a small ice cream here before he’s going back-and-forth with me about all the topics I got charged. I said I cannot pay for that and he said no I can’t take that back. That’s wasting my food. And I said I’m sorry I’m not paying for that and he said you cannot come back to my store. I said that’s fine I won’t return. The moral of this review is to be sure of how many toppings you are paying for. Some workers are not the book like him-I assume he is the manager.

The staff is friendly, of good humor and ready to serve and the ice cream was delicious. The tables and floor needed cleaning however. It doesn't take long for a busy store to look dirty so they need to keep at it. Ice Cream Shoppes have always been know for cleanliness. Would I return? Sure! By the way, Great catch.....twice! ?????

Went here because they're supposed to offer lactose free options. Asked for a milkshake using the lactose free milk. Guy behind the counter proceeds to use regular milk after we specified wanting non-dairy.We correct him and he pours the milk from the blender BACK INTO THE GALLON JUG! He then proceeds to pour the almond milk into the now DIRTY BLENDER! He then asks if we want whipped cream?!? He also didn't bother to ask about any toppings etcAbsolutely horrendous and broke many health violations in the span of ONE MILKSHAKE! Definitely reporting to the health department ????

Dietary restrictions: Supposedly has lactose free options but mixes everything with the lactose options right in front of you

The worker named Avril is just amazing! She was extremely sweet and attentive to me and my daughter and made my experience great. She was generous with the toppings and I appreciated it so much!

Made my own creation while my friend grabbed a suggested special creation. We both thoroughly enjoyed it! The waffle cones and bowls were delicious, too. Service was quick and friendly. Not a whole lot of people there when I went, so nice and peaceful.

I know they close at ten and I got there right before but I mean it's a ice cream shoppe. To the two boys who wouldn't serve me tonight I genuinely hope you stub your toe and your girlfriends breakup with you ?

Manager was disrespectful to me and other employees, I worked there for a month before I was fired without cause. I wasn’t even told I was fired and wasn’t aware of the fact until I noticed I was removed from the group chat used to communicate between employees. When asked the owner claimed she could not afford to keep me employed after previously stating she would talk to the manager about rehiring me because when I first noticed I was removed from the schedule she claimed I was fired for an minor allergy I had to some cleaning products.
