A classy and intimate atmosphere for all of life's personal celebrations. The food always satisfies both in taste and portion. They do a great job at providing specials that highlight the kitchen's expertises and skill. The wine list is catered to provide exceptional pairings to the food. The spirits both on their own or in cocktails are reasonable and unique. The steak was medium rare as requested and the duck confit was cooked to perfection. An unsuspected highlight was a rich and creamy lobster bisque which set the tone for the night full of nothing but delicious dishes, capped with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and ice cream. I fully recommend this place to everyone who asks.
Excellent food and service. First time going but won't be our last. Scallops were outstanding as was the Filet. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Only problem was choosing between everything that sounded so good.
Staff and service were exceptional! Food was good - filet, pork chop, chicken saltimbocca - filet was worth coming back for. The rest was good, but not great.
This is the best restaurant in Lexington, hands down! My wife and I treated my Aunt and Uncle to dinner here after a day at Keeneland. The food was delicious(Mushroom Bruschetta, Filet, Duck Confit, and Hoe Cakes)and the ambiance is Lexington at it's finest. The dining room was filled with laughs, the service was impeccable, and the vibes were high. Awesome spot no matter what the occasion!

We continue to be delighted by our experiences at Cole’s. We visited this time for an anniversary dinner and had a wonderful meal expertly prepared and presented. Always impressed by the pleasant and timely service here which includes a support team of food runners and server assistants.

This review is long overdue for Cole’s. Me and my wife have been here twice, once before we were married and we had our wedding dinner here on December 4, 2024.
The first visit, they were busy as was expected on a Friday night but we were able to get seats at the bar after waiting for just a few minutes. Bartenders were amazing and friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. This is not surprising but the attention to detail in describing seasonal menu items and suggestions was what made them stand apart from most other upscale restaurant bartenders. The seasonal menus are amazing and are absolutely worth every single penny. Having been a professional chef back in Colorado for 16 years I will say that the Chef here is no joke and is a master of his craft and understands flavor complexity and simplicity all at the same time. Phenomenal is still too far of an understatement to describe the food .
Our first visit here having been such a spectacular outing we knew where we wanted our wedding dinner to be at.
We had a small wedding with only 15 people in attendance for our dinner but it’s was the closest of friends and family in the area. 13 adults and 2 teens and I will tell you that Cole’s, once again, did not disappoint. Our server for our dinner was David and he was an amazing waiter. Again the attention to detail of the menu and drinks was above expectations, taking the lead when needed and grabbing the attention of the room to make sure that specials and seasonal fare was promptly detailed to everyone in attendance without the need for repeating. Fantastic, when what we all want to do is eat and drink and socialize. Him being quick, incredibly friendly, and polite was again above and beyond. The food quality is outstanding, on point, and never disappointing to a single guest including our picky teen daughter who the kitchen accommodated with no problem. The drinks were fantastic and the fact that they gave us the outdoor seating area with heaters made the environment friendly and comfortable for all.
I cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant and strongly believe it is one of-if not the-best that I have been to in Lexington. For me and the wife, when it comes down to our favorite romantic date night location, this establishment without question is our #1 priority.
To the staff of this establishment, keep up the superb quality of service. To the management, keep up the positive reinforcement to your staff and praise for the jobs they do. To the kitchen, continue to put love into the dishes you send out. Finally, to the Chef, your creativity, design, and passion show through in every amazing dish you create.
Again absolutely amazing establishment!

Great meal at Coles 735 Main, cozy vibe, attentive service, and cocktails that hit the mark. My entrée was cooked perfectly, though the seasoning leaned a touch salty and the wait between courses ran a bit long. Prices are on the higher side, but the quality mostly justifies it. Overall, a strong 4/5 and a spot I’d happily return to for a nice night out.

The filet was buttery and tender, paired with seasonal vegetables that felt fresh and carefully chosen. Service kept a polished but welcoming rhythm, and the historic building added a warm, classic charm to the evening.

The filet was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, paired with potatoes that carried just the right crisp. Flavors stayed balanced throughout, and the staff kept a smooth, steady pace. The historic setting added warmth without feeling formal.

French dip. It's the best one in Lexington. As a matter of fact, I haven't eaten one thing here that wasn't delicious and amazing. The French dip, however goes to eleven.

Outstanding. Our server Kalah provided us with an unforgettable evening! From the service to each item we received, all was executed with precision. If you’re a fan of gin cocktails, try “A Touch of Grey” on the signature cocktail list-gin is local from a veteran owned distillery and the cocktail was created by Kalah herself! The Ny strip special was top notch. Don’t miss out on this Lexington staple.
