As a native Lexingtonian and a foodie, I can say with certainty that County Club is the best restaurant in Lexington. With a seasonal, fresh, and local menu that rotates every month, it’s truly the best. The smoked meat is unmatched and the wings are the best wings my wife and I have ever had and she’s from upstate New York. The burger and fries are a must and I’ve never had a bad drink here. I cannot recommend this place enough!

First time at this restaurant. It was extremely loud, couldn’t hear members of my party talk. A 20% service charge is automatically applied to all bills. What incentive do the servers have to do a better than average job? (Typical tip is 15%) None, because they are getting a tip no matter how they perform. Serve did not deliver the correct dish to the correct person.
Food is poor value. My brisket had allot of fat in it.
The alcoholic beverage was small had way too much ice (thereby having little product )and very expensive, however, the taste of the drink was very good.
I hope you have a better experience than me. And nothing would make me happier than for all my comments be proven wrong.

Best restaurant in Lexington. If you are someone who is a very particular eater and want to customize your meal, you may not like it here. This is a chef run restaurant (I think) and the chef makes the menu, if you don't like something the way it is listed on the menu, don't order it. The food is always stellar and seasonal (typically leans Asian fusion). I will say that the servers could stand to be friendlier sometimes but that isn't always the case. Lastly, there is sometimes a wait but again this is a small restaurant where everything is basically made fresh. If there is a rush of people it might take some time. Sit back, have a conversation and enjoy your company. If you are looking for a guaranteed quick serve, this place ain't it and I'm glad for that.

The aromatic advert of smoked meats will guide you straight to the best summer patio in the city. Get the brisket on a Friday and you won’t be disappointed! The service is the best- the wait staff and kitchen are all working hard to serve up the best dinner plates in town. If you didn’t know any better, a first time visitor may mistake the laid back vibes for lack of caring. Do not be fooled- more time has been put into your dish than has lapsed between your order and it arriving to your table. Be warned- you may order a pound of brisket at the end of your dining experience to take home and make soup and sandwiches. The cocktails are always refreshing, especially at 7 pm on the patio when the sun is setting over the city park. Get the watermelon tequila margarita and you’ll wish it came in a pitcher! TLDR- If you’re new to town or just visiting, go to County Club to get a real taste of the bluegrass.
Kid-friendliness: I love sitting outside at the picnic tables so my rambunctious 4 year son can run around! By the time the food is served he is usually worn out and ready to eat- This is my favorite dinner place because of the amazing food, service, and inclusive atmosphere!

The service here is extremely slow and the staff act like they don’t care about their customers because mandatory gratuity is included on their tabs.
When we arrived the host just pointed at a table and told us to walk over. Once we got to the table we realized it was covered in goose or duck poop, so we asked for them to wipe down the table. They didn’t come to wipe down the table and then we asked AGAIN if they would wipe it down and they said they would but didn’t.
It took about 35 minutes from seating to get a couple of drinks and over an hour to get our food.
I would not recommend this place unless you want to get up and serve yourself.

Delicious and fun! Such good food is delivered in a welcoming and chill environment. The menu alternates every month, so it stays delicious!! You can't go wrong with anything. Smooth, tender, flavorful brisket and pork. Best ribs ever!! Loved the spice
This place is my go-to while away from home. Great ambiance and food. The service rounds it all out. Whether I eat in or take back to the hotel, I always have a great experience. I haven’t sampled everything in the menu but everything I have has has been excellent. It’s all about the BBQ.
