It has been years since I went to Cracker Barrel and now, I remember why. The service was good but the food not. Compared to competitors most of the food tasted like it was out of a bag. The Maple Bacon Chicken itself was delicious but the fried pickles, biscuits, and dumplins were lacking in flavor. The meatloaf was also dry.

Ordered for delivery 4 meals and was extremely disappointed. Some of the food was burnt and hard. All of it was cold and it took the restaurant 45 minutes to cook it then have it delivered. Hope the food inside the restaurant is better than having it delivered.

Was craving meatloaf, but not as good as what Bob Evans use to carry. ?
We usually love CB. Stopped at the Elkhorn Road in Lexington, KY. Got seated right away and the waitress was very sweet and good. She kept apologinzing for our wait. After waiting 30 minutes for our food I asked to speak to manager. The mgr was very nonchalant and said having issues in the kitchen. Another 15 minutes went by before my husband got his food. I didn't get my bacon just a small bowl of apples that had 3 slices. Waitrss brought me another bowl of the apples. My husband order had 1 piece of bacon came w/his, but the bacon was broken in half and only recd half. His pancakes were the smallest we ever been served there. He asked for scrambled eggs and they were served hard. Finally 15 min passed & I recd my bacon. Waitress apologized for it and said would remove bacon order from check. The bacon was burnt in the middle & raw on the ends. Told her to take it back. The mgr stopped at table & I told him I sent bacon back. He said mechanical problems in kitchen. He never once asked how he can make this right. They did take my order and our coffee off bill. But still never had this type of food at CB. Will be a long time if ever that we go back.
