Not your ordinary box lunch!! We recently hosted an event for 50 people and ordered box lunches from Dupree Catering. Over my career, I have ordered a lot of box lunches, but these were definitely a step above! They have a huge variety of sandwiches as well as sides and deserts, which allowed us to pick something for everyone. Everything was delicious and our group could not stop talking about the lunches. If you are looking for something to set yourself apart, you need to order from Dupree Catering!

The food is (quite literally) ALWAYS amazing and I cannot even count how many times we're asked for her contact info after every meal! She is always conscientious of our budget-- not only that, the entire team is kind, considerate, SPEEDY, gracious and helpful. EVERY. LAST. ONE. of them! Dupree is incredibly accommodating of food allergies and sensitivities, as well (the EASIEST to work with!). I cater between 3 and 6 times a year with Samantha and trust her and the entire Dupree team so completely that I don't even need to work on a menu with them for what they'll serve us -- they know they have free range to make whatever they choose and I know it will be SPECTACULAR! I cannot recommend Dupree (and Samantha!) more. You will be absolutely thrilled with every facet of your event they're involved in! If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would -- they deserve all the stars!

I recently worked with Dupree for a work Christmas party. Samantha and her team were amazing to work with from start to finish! Samantha made the planning process a breeze and she and her team provided amazing service and delicious food for our event. The event was held at someone's home and they were extremely accommodating to the current set up and not only cleaned the entire kitchen before leaving, they put all of the leftover food into Tupperware that they labeled and put in the fridge. Highly recommend Dupree!

They are easy to work with and accommodated last minute changes, and made suggestions to make our meal the best it could be. I heard several attendees mention after the lunch how efficient Dupree was with making sure nobody was waiting in line because the food was all gone. The staff was attentive to guests, but cautious not to clear dishes from tables too soon. We would use Dupree again.

THAT is perhaps the most disturbing thing: that suggests that Dupree’s poor reviews are being removed. So, this time, I am taking photos of the review and contacting Google to make certain that it stays put.First, as I noted the first time, I had my event in mid-August. I thought that the food was adequate, but really wholly mediocre. The fried foods, particularly, all tasted the same, and the duck egg rolls did not taste of any duck at all.Second — and at best a sign of Dupree’s failure to communicate, and at worst a sign of an attempt to ensure that people eat less — Dupree changed, without any discussion, the plates used for the event. Every one of the similar events there used regular luncheon plates (7”, I think) for all of the other less expensive buffets. But I spent far more money on a MUCH more expensive buffet — but then Dupree used these tiny 4” plates. People could hardly put any food on the plates, and the entire event looked cheap. There was no discussion about this ahead of time, and no way to fix that once the event had started. I was, frankly, mortified, by how none of my guests could place only one or two items on their plates at a time. It looked incredibly cheap, and ruined the entire event in my mind. Since then, another person asked for my caterer, and I told them my experience, and suggested that they investigate other options.

Let me begin by saying that, individually, everyone at Dupree was nice -- even assisting with a week-of change in the color and number of table linens. And the set-up / take-down of the event was professional. That being said, I would not return to them again. 1) I was disappointed with much of food. Some of it was very good -- can't go too far wrong with smoked salmon, or fresh-to-order eggs. But I found a lot of it too be very bland. For example, the duck eggs egg rolls did not really taste like there was any duck. Really, all of the fried food tasted almost identical. Nothing seemed to have any spice. Perhaps it would have been better if I had not expected actual cooking -- apparently they do a fine job baking some brie, and putting together crudites, or bagels and cream cheese. 2) They company changed the plates they used from the plates they had used at all of the other similar affairs (and I had been to many similar events). They changed them from regular 7-8" luncheon plates to these tiny 5" appetizer plates -- so no one could put more than two items on their plate at a time. I had intended for my event to feel low-key but sumptuous -- instead, the fact that no one could put anything on their plates made the entire event seem very cheap. To be honest, I was absolutely mortified. The reviews are so good that I just assumed that it would excellent. I regret that I did not look into other options.
