El Azteca Mexican Grill

I had the best Pollo Hawaiian here. Deliciously prepared beyond my expectations. Meal was served with steamed mixed vegetables and rice. The rice was seasoned lightly and not dried out I have had on other restaurants. Them environment is happy and well lit. Service was very good.

We were looking forward to another great meal there as we had in the past but sadly we have to report the services great the food cam out proply I tasted bad like old left overs beans and rice were cold frankly I guess as many restaurants have gone down hill with supervisors and quality we will have to take this restaurants off out list of medium high rating to we will not be returning for a poor food tastes and experience. So sorry to have to report this this way .

My husband and I eat here almost weekly! I usually get takeout, and it is always warm and delicious. Their service is phenomenal and their El-Aztecarita is delicious too!

I've only dined here for lunch. The food and service has always been good and pretty consistent. However, the past few months I've noticed a trend where I am never charged the correct amount. For example, today I had a lunch entree listed as $8.99 but was charged $14.99. This has happened every single time since I started watching for it. At first, it was just $2+ or so and I assumed they just hadn't updated the menu, but now I feel like it's systematic.

So, I won't give 1 star since the food and service is actually good but the deceptive pricing should have anyone alarmed.

We ordered for delivery, and we got confirmation that our order had been received. We eventually received a message that said our food would be delivered in 5 minutes. So we waited...and waited...and waited some more. After an hour or so we called back and were told that a tablet had malfunctioned and that our order had NOT been received, or it had been canceled, but it had miraculously been prepared. They assured us that it was now on its way. We offered a tip, but it was refused ( no offer of any kind of discount). It took another half hour for our order to arrive although we onlylive a mile and a half from El Azteca. I tried to smile when the food finally arrived, but a muted thank you was all I could muster. Was the food good? Probably. I didn't ask. I had lost my appetite having waited for several hours so I have my food to the dogs. They seemed to enjoy it.

It has been a little over a year since we ate there. Since we were back in Lexington, we wanted to experience our past experiences. The specific reason to return was to experience excellent food, service, and the atmosphere . Tonight, the food and the service were still good, but subpar. The atmosphere was a total disaster. The music was Irish. Who goes to a Mexican restaurant to hear horrible Irish songs about death? The vocal and the instrumental was noise, not music. Loud horrific noise. We enjoy Irish music but not at a Mexican restaurant. It was quite easy to understand why the majority of customers were fans of the no talent duo.

I pick up lunch here about once a week, I appreciate they have the lunch menu, the food is always good, some days a little better than others. Granted I usually pick up my food but the servers are always friendly and I'm glad its in the chinoe center.

The language barrier is terrible. They couldn’t understand anything that we wanted. Didn’t know the specials. Service was slow. Took forever to get the ticket and it was wrong.
