This is the best taco stand in town. There tacos are very flavorful and delicious. The soup they have in the winter time is amazing. I would recommend you have to try you will want more and more. Mr. And Miss hernandez are very friendly and polite to people and they take very good care of there customers. They keep there truck extremely clean and have the best tacos in town!!!!!!!!!

I love El Costeno! I used to go to the truck across from the street from SAVE A LOT on Versailles Rd. Their tacos were good but light on the meat in my opinion. I was never 100% completely satisfied with their tacos because of that. When they went up to three dollars a taco I dumped them. They were one of the first trucks to raise their tacos to $3.00. Then I started going to Papi's on Harrodsburg Rd. When I tried their tacos for the first time I fell in love with them. And they sell authentic Margaritas! They are the best in town. I was hooked for months, visiting twice a week. But then they cut back on the meat in their tacos, and began overloading them with onions. I stopped buying Tacos from Papi's after that, but I still buy Margaritas from them every week. And their chips and salso are some of the best I ever had. Now I had to find another taco place. I was at a liquor store when I first saw them. I went over there and ordered some carnitas street tacos. They were better than everybody's tacos I have tried in the past. That tiny truck cranks out some of the best Mexican street tacos in the country. Way better than the tacos the Herald Leader recommended, and I have tried several of them since I read that review of the best tacos in Lexington. I visited three trucks off Vesailles Rd, a truck off Broadway and Bolivar Street, a truck on Alexandria Drive across from a Mexican grocery store, and 2 trucks off New Circle Rd. NONE OF THOSE TACO TRUCK TACOS WERE BETTER THAN EL COSTENO JR.'S TACOS!! NOBODY'S. And their tamales are the best I ever had! They also give every one of their customers a free cup of a delicious soup they sell Thursday thru Sundays. I order their soup every time I order some tacos. I'm addicted to it. El Costeno Taco truck will be the only truck you will ever go to for Mexican street food after you give them a try. And their tacos are still $2.50! With all of that meat on them! And the delicious sauted onions, pickled carrots, and pickled radishes that come with every order of tacos! So good you can eat them like chips. All of their customers are addicted because of the quality and quantity of their food.

Truly some of the best food you will ever eat! I cannot recommend them highly enough. Tacos, burritos, tortas, quesadillas, and tamales! And they also have Pozole while you wait! My personal favorites are the Tacos al Pastor, the carnitas burrito, and the Pazole.On top of all that, they are some of the nicest folks you'd ever want to meet!
