This place is superb! El Mariachi is such an amazing place to go and grab a casual lunch/dinner and have an enjoyable time with friends and family. This place has such great staff who are always so kind and personable. The restaurant is very clean, and has an amazing atmosphere! I definitely will be going back!

Overall, service sells this place. Great service. The convenience to campus is great. What I couldn’t figure out is how empty the restaurant was in the dead center of the dinner hour.
My fajita taco salad was very mediocre, but the remainder of the food was great.

Wanted some good food, and thats what we got, this is a later review but here we are. Food was good, it was hot, smelled good, and most importantly tasted great. The server was awesome, she helped us with our bigger group we had and tooks pics for us, and the location is VERY limited for parking so keep that in mind also. All in all would come back again thank you!

I tried this place for the first time tonight. Friendly host and server! I ordered the tacos de birria based on the recommendation of the host. Very tasty! All ingredients are separate so add what you like. Good selection of Mexican beer, and the margarita was also very good! Opened until 10pm (and later when UK is in session).

We went for lunch on a Sunday. Not crowded at all, very clean. Server was extremely nice. Food was also very good. Free chips and salsa, chips were very big. Salsa was okay, not hot version given with chips. Our appetizer, Choriqueso was a bit thin. Birria tacos were very good. The best? Not sure, but we are also from Chicago area. Definitely worth the visit. Prices are good too.
