First time here and it was great! Good service and the food/margs were really tasty. Will definitely be back!

I've had the shrimp tacos and chicken quesadilla. Both were flavorful and delicious. You won't regret stopping here! Great food!

Cuando abrió el restaurante era bueno, pero ahora pésimo servicio y la comida imposible de comer

Love the street tacos here. I've tried all the different meats. A great price for what you get. The waitresses are very nice, but noted they don't really speak English well enough to understand special requests.

Best Mexican Restaurant in town. We eat here a couple times a week. Owners and workers are very friendly and I love their margaritas.

This place was horrible from start to finish. We had 3 kids with us and no kids menu (chicken fingers, fries, rice, ect). Everything was bland and little to no seasoning. I had a margarita on the rocks and all you could taste was the mixture they put in to make the lime taste.Come on y'all get it together!

This is hands down my favorite “Mexican” place in Lex. Homemade Horchata & hand cut fries. This food is made with love.

It was good. We got chicken fajitas. The chicken was a little bland not a lot of seasoning. But it was still good.

This was my third time ordering takeout from El Taquero, and the food has been consistently fine. I tried the combo fajita platter this time (chicken, steak, and shrimp) and all of the proteins were cooked well. My biggest issue was that even combined with all of the fajita accoutrements, the flavor was still pretty bland. You can see from the photo that the guacamole is obviously a pretty unappetizing color, but I still give them credit for making it with fresh ingredients instead of buying something pre-made and pasty. The portion size was also good for the price. I've also tried the burrito gigante (which is smothered in cheese) and the chipotle burrito, and I have to say that I found all of them lacking in flavor, but maybe I'm just ordering the wrong things. I love that they give you free chips & salsa with your takeout order, though the portion size has been reduced to about 30% of what they used to offer when they first opened. The salsa is actually quite tasty, but it's also very watery. The people working there have always been very nice and it takes less than 10 minutes for a takeout order to be ready on a weekday. Overall I'd say based on the convenient location and reasonable pricing I'll probably keep coming back, but next time I'll try to order something a little more flavorful!

The Jumbo Margarita was fresh and tasty. The chorizo cheese dip was so good. Loved the carnitas street taco! The chips and dip were great! I would love to go back again soon!

Really delicious and a lot of options to pick from. Plus they had a great drink deal going the night I went!
