Absolute trash! Served me a torta that was on an old bun, chicken was fatty and old. Asked to exchange it for a taco salad, which was $3 or $4 cheaper. They brought it out with about a quarter of a cup, if that, of shredded chicken, and put my lettuce on the side because I didn't want lettuce on my torta, so they figured I'd want my lettuce on the side???. The taco shell was old and stale as well. Then they tried to charge me for the more expensive torta instead of the cheaper taco salad. The lady who cashed us out said it was my fault for not liking that torta, that there was nothing wrong with it!!! NO apologies, no nothing, just blaming me for not liking a bunch of old, fatty and grisly chicken on an old bun, then charge me for it. Dine at your own risk!!
I went on a date to El Toro! I was blown away by their service, and I loved the food we ordered! I had talapia fish tacos, cooked perfectly and well seasoned! We shared the jalapeno poppers as our appetizer. I enjoy spicy food, and the spice and freshness of this appetizer was perfect! My date had the steak tacos with rice and beans. Everything was a 10/10 I highly recommend this spot here in Lexington.
Perfect every time!
Best in town.
The food was good. Not the best, and the service was ok.
Overall, it was a positive experience!
This is a great dining experience with very good food and reasonable prices. The service is excellent.

Sounds like there was fireworks going off, lights kept flickering, was kind of worrying the place might catch fire. Never again.

I have been going to El Toro's since they opened years ago. It has always been a nice, friendly atmosphere. They have outdoor seating that is under roof with TVs and fans. So it is a nice space to enjoy the outside with your food. Their food is always good and what you would expect. Their lunch specials are reasonable. It is a little more expensive than what you would anticipate paying for Mexican food, but it is good. They are very friendly and offer to go drinks. It is great to do carry out there as well because they make sure that you have chips and salsa to take home with you.

Vegetarian options: They have all vegetarian specials. It is not labeled as vegetarian but clearly vegetarian.
Parking: The parking lot is small and sometimes you have to park park on this side street next to T-Mobile.
