Update. Google asked me if this place had changed. The buffet is working now on it's fullness. Unfortunately they also increase what you pay in about 20% more than they used to charge.

The reason why my review is 1 star today is because me and my husband came at dinner time we ate one plate each. The only thing the waitress did was take our plates when we were done. When we went to the register to pay it was $40 and some change we paid. When we were leaving the waitress asked for a tip. She didnt even do nothing for us but take our two plates we used. I think its ridiculous how this lady who works hourly had the audacity to ask for a tip almost forcing us to add a tip. It was not deserved. Never again will I be coming back here.

It's criminal what's happened to Golden Buffet. This has been my favorite place for Chinese food for years, it WAS my standard by which all others were judged. We went for dinner on a Wednesday and I was so disappointed we will NOT be coming back. Several things suggest ownership has changed hands: new logo and signage over the entrance, a new drop ceiling with a playful mix of white and custard-yellow tiles - - and this I think is crucial, because while everything is laid out similarly, and everything is where you would expect NOTHING. TASTES. GOOD.
My 3 favorite things to get here are pork egg rolls, crab rangoons, and chicken on a stick (super basic, I realize). The pork egg rolls were all breading, no cabbage, carrot, or pork to be appreciated. The crab rangoons were curdled and flavorless. The chicken on a stick was the right color and cooked well, but completely flavorless.
My unproven theory is that they changed vendors or, moved some of what was previously cooked, increased the amount of food to be vendor-supplied. I then went on to try the green beans, general Tso's, bourbon chicken - my 2nd string, which left me wanting as well and I left feeling deprived.
The service, environment, and everything was very clean and professional. This is not a one-sided critique. It's a restaurant that has just lost the food that made it a place I want to eat at.

If I could, I would give this place 0 stars. The food was ok, and when we paid we gave no tip and we went in the car, but our waiter came out running towards our car and said “no tip?” And threatened to charge us the next time we come. Bad place
