Excellent food. Short rib appetizer was awesome. Fried chicken was delicious. Service was spot on. Highly recommend
We went for restaurant week, and the entire experience was perfect. The food was delicious, and served promptly, the service was thoughtful and accommodating, and the atmosphere was beautiful and comfortable. We had drink at the lounge bar before entering the restaurant. The whole thing was a lovely experience from beginning to end.
It was all just ok. It would be nice to have a fish option for lunch other than salad with fish. The fried chicken sandwich - the chicken was not flavorful. Will try dinner or brunch at another time.
Granddam is always a consistent and delicious dining experience. They offer a refreshing take using local ingredients, a well cultivated cocktail and wine list, and attentive service.
We visited Granddam for the first time to celebrate a birthday. It was an incredible experience, and we'll definitely be back! Food was great, service was top notch, and the atmosphere was lovely.
Food was well prepared, good portions but not generous. Bread was delicious as was the pecan coconut cake. Will be returning.
The food was very, very good, especially the caviar. Seemed under staffed, though our waitress was great and trying her best. No bussers for tables. Tables left dirty between courses. For a $500 meal, including tip, I would expect better.
Haven't had a bad experience there yet. Service is wonderful, food is so tasty and the changing menus are always amazing plus an abundance of gluten free options + a gluten free dessert that was so delicious
We are frequent patrons of the Granddam and brought guests from out of town last night. I have to say that we were a bit disappointed in our service and our food. Slow to get our cocktails. We never received any bread for the table. The taste of our food seemed to miss the usual flavor we have been used too. My daughter did love her elk Wellington per usual but my husbands ribeye was mediocre. We will probably visit again but maybe not soon.
Absolutely everything was perfection, from the very friendly young woman as hostess to the efficient and caring server. The drinks both alcoholic and "zero proof" were amazing! My daughter shared some of her One Trick Pony drink and I will most definitely be ordering this next visit! My Ode to Freddy was delightful and a great compliment to my experience here. The Cucumber & Tangerine salad is a must try! The salads were at the perfect serving temperature and so much more enjoyable than expected! I tried the Carrot and Leek soup, which was amazing, again experiencing food at the PERFECT temperature is such a rare delight...I can't express enough what a difference this makes. The entree of Fried Chicken had so many flavors that were forward and subtle it made even something simple a true culinary experience. I couldn't wait to enjoy the weekend brunch here the next morning. What a treasure this place is...we will be back for more, SOON!

A wonderful quiet spot where you can actually have a conversation over a business or friend lunch.
Quietly elegant venue while welcoming wide variety of attire. Appreciate the understated music and ability to have true conversation while enjoying excellent food.
We dined at Granddam to celebrate a birthday in the family. The service was outstanding, the food was beyond delicious, and the atmosphere was unique and inviting. We will be back in the future!
Marcos was a fantastic waiter. He gladly answered our questions regarding menu items. He even asked the chef for a little ramekin of “curry” so we could taste it before ordering the bison gnocchi. Top class service and food!
I live in Lexington and somehow this was my first time. It is now my most favorite restaurant in Lexington. The food was amazing; the appetizers, the entrees, the drinks, the dessert. Customer service was fantastic. It's upscale but not stuffy. We dressed business casual but there were young teenagers (with parents) with nice shorts and tennis shoes. Apparently there's a lounge menu option because I saw burgers and fries delivered to a table, so that's a less expensive option. The bar area is beautiful and lively. The restaurant is classy and quiet. Like any restaurant, you can go big or go frugal and still enjoy the best tasting food. Can't wait to return and I will. I've already shared the experience with my family and friends.
