Gumbo’s has consistently great food, and they’re always friendly and helpful. The portion sizes are always more than generous as well. On top of that, the pricing is very reasonable. It’s my favorite go-to restaurant in Lexington.
A large strip mall, counter service destination, Cajun restaurant that will let you sample anything before you order is worth your time to visit. We hit this place for our annual Lexington visit for at least 1 meal. The gumbo over Jambalaya is my go-to. The large is too much for me, but the garlic bread is needed to mop everything up. Order extra. They sell the hot sauce to go, and we always bring some home.
