Was traveling through Lexington, stopped to eat here. Service was excellent, food was disappointing. The taco salad came with spinach, carrots and ranch with chunks of avocado. No sour cream, guacamole...none of the normal stuff you find in a Mexican taco salad. Wife's food was dry and not enjoyable. Doubtful to return. For $32 for my wife and I to eat, I expected better.

My family has been eating at Jalapeno's since they opened on New Circle Road in the 70s. I also ate there regularly with my IBM lunch bunch a lot during the 80s. And then even more after my son was born in 1996. And now I eat at South Broadway location regularly. I'd say an average of once a month, sometimes once a week, for all these years. This was our first trip to this restaurant and it was very delightful. The presentation of the food was just beautiful and as always in a Mexican restaurant you get way more than you can ever finish. I had the beef quesadilla and it was just delicious. My son had tacos and he really enjoyed them also. Don't remember the waiter's name but he was very friendly and also very good looking. The whole place just seem to have a good vibe to it.
