The food was delicious and portions were good. Only 4 stars because it was a bit pricey for breakfast food. $10+ for 2 pancakes…albeit delicious pancakes…no sides. Almost $20 if you want a full breakfast meal….again, very yummy nonetheless.

I ordered spinach quiche for breakfast. When it was served, the crust was pale and soggy, the filling appeared to not be completely cooked. The server informed the cook & manager who said it was cooked correctly. I have ordered this meal many times and it was never before served in that manner. I was unable to eat it (and told the server this) but they did nothing about it. I am extremely disappointed in this visit.

Been a fan of Josie’s since its inception and sure miss the one in Georgetown and wish they would make a return to Scott county! We live in northern Scott county so it’s a drive to Lexington for breakfast.

There are too many favorites on their breakfast menu to mention - you simply can’t err in any selection. We love their biscuits and gravy and equally enjoy their omelets! Their lunch offerings are just as yummy. Josies, like many locally owned venues, is so much better than commercial restaurants.

The only issue we have, and it’s not a complaint as much as an observation and opinion, is about their request for gratuity. This is another establishment that suggests tips starting at 20-25% when their prices are a bit over average to begin with. For example, a cup of tea is $3.50 and that is one tea bag. If you ask for a refill that’s another $3.50. In our opinion, the request for gratuity to supplement wages has became out of line. Europeans pay their employees a fair wage and don’t expect patrons to supplement income just so restaurants can manage their profit margins. In many countries a tip is considered very inappropriate.
