Kentucky Native Café has one of the best atmospheres in Lexington — lush greenery, relaxed vibe, and it’s dog-friendly, which is a huge plus. It’s a great place to grab a drink or a light, seasonal snack and just enjoy being outside.

That said, the service can be painfully slow. It often takes far too long to order food or drinks, even when it’s not packed. It’s worth visiting for the setting alone, but definitely come with some patience.

It's a vibe! The food is good, but you really come here for the atmosphere. It's just cool to eat among the plants. Also, the nights that they do thw melted cheese wheel thing are peak.

Heads up, no meat on the menu and they are small plates. That being said, the Roasted Cauliflower Soup was beautiful.
The atmosphere was so unexpected. Smack in the middle of the city is this beautiful and quiet green space. As the sun went down, stings of light lite up in the trees and they set little low light lanterns on the tables.

There’s so much I can say about how amazing this place is. All the plants are so comforting and the little kids running around just gives a sense of home. This is my go to place whenever I am hanging out with people. I love that even though this is an open air space, there is still a privacy factor due to all the trees. Sitting outside surrounded by trees made me feel connected to nature. Everyone who works here is very friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and the wait time is not even felt ( it is about 5 minutes). This time I just got a pretzel, a chocolate croissant, a blackberry and nutella gelato, and a cherry swirl gelato. That cost me about 17 dollars. The cafe is definitely hard to find but as long as you locate Michler’s Florist you can find it. Overall I love this place, the atmosphere is so peaceful and I am not about to stop visiting it.

My Mom, sister, and I stopped by this cafe coming back from a visit to the park. We were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this outdoor cafe. The plants and landscaping was stunning and there was plenty of room for us to sit while we drank our beverages. I had a nice cold beer, and my Mom and sis had glasses of wine. The weather was beautiful making our visit such a joy. The attached nursery had some very interesting plants and trees as well as an assortment of native plants to KY.
I highly recommend!

We saw this cafe on a tiktok and thought it looked like a neat place to try.
The greenhouse atmosphere was awesome! As soon as we walked in we were impressed by the seating surrounded by plants and trees.
The staff were unpleasant. There was no acknowledgment when drinks were placed on a table outside. When we asked to confirm if the drinks were ours we were met with an unfriendly “on the table.” Since we hadn’t been here before, we were unsure of their process and didn’t want to pick up someone else’s order. It was a bit confusing because they were calling out names for other items as they were sat out, but hadn’t asked for ours.
I can handle slow service or off food quality, but unfriendly staff will be the reason to not return to an establishment.

KY Native is truly one of my favorite places to grab a bite and a beer. The food and drink are always tasty and the atmosphere is unmatched. Would love to see an extra point of sale! Prepare to wait in line a long time!
