I've only ever ordered coffee or an alcoholic drink. I'm gluten free and they did not have the means to offer me anything I could eat... there is no table to table service... you order at a section where employees stand behind a counter, they take your order, you carry it back to your table. Your environment is inside a greenhouse, but, there is outdoor seating as well (I have never sat in the outside areas...yet). I personally found it to be very pleasing and calming, and for me, there is the intrigue with all the different plants they grow inside for your viewing pleasure. I don't believe they open the greenhouse for meals or table seating during the summer months, however... it would just be too uncomfortably warm inside.

This place is absolutely wonderful! Beautiful plants all around, even running up the walls. The greenhouse is amazing, and the entire place is filled with clean, fresh air. The service is lovely and attitudes are friendly. Overall, very inviting atmosphere.

Great place to visit! Good food. Good service. It’s like sitting in a park.Only small downside is the wait to order and then the wait for getting the food. It’s worth it but takes quite a bit of time.

I came here with a recommendation by my girlfriend and wow was this nice. I came in the winter, there was snow on the ground outside but inside was warm, plants are flowering and they had a ton of plants I’ve never seen before. The food was really good. You have to wait in a long line for service but that’s just because of how popular this place is. It’s a definite must see and I want to come back in the summer when everything outside is as green as inside. I’m a sucker for a good soft pretzel and they didn’t disappoint. I would definitely recommend the Native Cafe.

This place is the epitome of pretentious café culture. The food is terrible, and everything is priced at 3x what it should be. You'll pay the cost of a steak entre for something like a pretzel (which will also be hard as a brick). As other people have pointed out, they automatically apply a 15% tip for no reason whatsoever. You order at the front, and you pick up your own order -- there's no reason to tip other than to supplement the baristas' incomes, which is *not* my responsibility; I'm a customer, not an employer. Even the "vibes" people are talking about are non-existent. It's a backyard in a residential neighborhood, and most of the area is full of weeds and limestone gravel.

Kentucky Native Café is such a wonderful spot! Nestled gently within the greater downtown area of Lexington, it would be easy to miss for anyone not from the area. This fact only adds to the charm of this restaraunts beautifully crafted ambience. The patio is only open during the warmer months, which looks to be as beautiful as the greenhouse seating, which is open year round. The staff were friendly, casual, and knowledgable. Bringing a welcoming feeling to all who choose to dine. The menu will change over the course of time, so dont expect your favorite dish or wine to be there the next time you dine. However, they are not lacking in other delicious menu items to sate your pallete! We chose "for the table" a roasted red pepper hummus bowl. Served with sizable portions of fresh bread, the dish had fresh herbs, peppers and oil along with the dish to mix as we pleased! Very nice touch. My partner and I each decided to try the savory asperagus and potato crepé, served with a side salad. The salad was a highlight! Incredible flavor with the lightly tossed dark greens and vinagrette dressing! I cant praise it enough! The crepé itself was a beautiful earthy blend of flavors! Hearty in its flavor profile, but light on the stomach. My only minor complaint would be that my bread was a tad overdone. But my partner's was nearly perfect!Overall, our experience was wonderful! Kentucky native café is perfect for a lovely evening with friends, your partner, or a work collegue. With its blend of beautiful plants and atmosphere along with its delicious menu; it is a must try! I will deffinitely come again to see what may be new!

I like coming here with my colleagues and I enjoy the food and the atmosphere, but I don’t like when asked if I want to leave a 15% tip when there’s NO service.I recently saw a sign that a 15% gratuity will now be added each check. I’m happy to pay for service but again, there’s no service at Kentucky Native. Just raise your prices if you can’t pay your staff a livable wage.

Such a pretty outdoor eating area plus a greenhouse indoor area. They have awesome food and drinks, plus many vegan options. Perfect place to grab a coffee and work outdoors on a spring day!

Love this little gem of an outdoor cafe. Such a sweet, quiet space. Didn't care too much for the food, but love the holiday market at Christmas.
