9/23/24. DO NOT ORDER FROM DON TACO!!!!! They no longer exist, but their website is still live and more than eager to take your money with no recourse for getting refund. I ordered takeout, received a receipt and went to pick it up - but the lady at the counter didn't know what I was talking about. She called over a customer to tell me that there was new ownership and that the name had changed (All of the signage and decor is still branded Don Taco). My order went into the wild blue yonder and my money went to the previous owner. There is no way to request a refund.

If i could give this place a 0 I would. I sent multiple drinks back because there was NO alcohol just pure salt water. They sat us, while we were eating chips and salsa, the. had us get up and move to accommodate the karaoke person who has been set up and not started the entire time we’ve been here waiting for our food. my entire table did not drink a single margarita. It took over an hour for us to even get our food when we were the only people in the place aside from a couple. No refills on chips or water, I do not recommend this place to a single person. save your money, this place will not last. go across the street to El Rancho

Finally authentic Mexican!! So Happy we ate here! I lived in Santa Fe, NM for 25 years and wish we had a place this authentic. Will definitely be back. Food was delicious, server was very kind and gracious. I had the Sopas and Street Tacos, my friend had the Mole and my wife had the Fajitas - everything exceeded our expectations and was delicious. Tortillas were fresh made. Guacamole was delicious. This place is a gem! We tried three specialty drinks, my favorite was the House Jamaica Mezcalita. Below is our order for three people (we ordered too much food) so we all took leftovers home.

The Thursday night music was lovely. The service was fantastic. Food was fresh and tasty, we loved the panbazo, and green spaghetti. The chilaquiles stole the show for me. The dranks where divine, great place to catch drinks. Very good Mexican DF style food.

Don Taco in Lexington Ky, has some of the best authentic Mexican food in town, with a verity of drink to choose from and not to mention the environment they provide. Top notch and highly recommend to everyone near Lexington definitely worth the drive!
We went in for taco week to try the Cecina tacos. Oh my goodness these were so flavorful the mixture of Meats gave different compliments to the taco. Drizzled with a pepper salsa that is a homemade secret? yeah oh yeah its the perfect topping for this ? taco. This is a new must try. Ownership has changed hands from La Dona and can say I am loving it better.

Don Taco is a new favorite of mine. Andrea, possibly the owner or manager, was very sweet and attentive. I didn't catch the bartenders name, who was also my server, but he was wonderful! The margaritas are amazing and the food was very fresh and authentic. I will definitely be back.

We came here for Taco Week and will be back for sure. The Cecina tacos were very flavorful. Packed with beef and Chorizo this taco was pulled together with the house made pepper sauce. You like Mezcal? We love Mezcal!!!! We tried the Bozal Pachuga and we where blown away by the rich flavor. The owner also made us a cocktail with Mezcal and Hibiscus. Best cocktail I've had in a long time. If you live in or are visiting Lexington, stop in and enjoy some food and Mezcal. The menu will be changing some with a focus more toward the Mexico City area.
