We had a private tour of both the brewery and distillery. Julia did an exceptional job sharing the rich history and current plans for the beer and spirits! The tastings were generous and we found some interesting products we hadn’t planned to purchase! A recommended stop for everyone!
This was an affordable and very informative tour. I would even do it more than once. Thank you
Highly recommend! Fun and interesting tour with an exceptional guide, Augustus I believe. We went in September and I forgot to do a review, but really wanted to say how great our experience was! The tastings were top-notch, and we ended up bringing home a bottle of whiskey and a couple packs of beer too. Can't wait to visit again!
We stopped by to grab some beer for a family member. A bottle of bourbon, case of beer and a six pack later we were on our way! Cool place! Husband loves the Vanilla and Tangerine beer.
We enjoyed the tour and tasting! A cool spot to visit when in Lexington.
This is a nice place to visit. I showed up yesterday afternoon asking about a tour without a reservation. No problems signing up. They have a great selection of beers and spirits to take home. Worth a try if you're in the Lexington area.
I’ll admit I was a little confused about the name when booking. The bourbon trail has them listed as Town Branch, and then I started receiving emails from Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co. The place was fantastic. We checked in with no problems. Tom gave us our tour, and he was wonderful. We each received 4 tokens to trade in for samples. It was difficult to decide so my husband and our friends shared so everyone could taste all the things. The distillery tour was interesting, and the facilities were great. The beers were unusual and fantastic. The only one I didn’t care for was the pumpkin which I normally love. The raspberry was delicious, and I loved the cocoa. The whiskey area gave us a chance to grab some group photos. For the whiskey tasting, I didn’t care for the gin. I tried the rhubarb gin and was hoping for a local version something like the Edinburgh rhubarb but this was more like gin with a hint of rhubarb. I’m not a big fan of bourbon, but my husband really enjoyed them. His favorite was the single barrel. The highlight for me was the Sundowner. I will be enjoying some of that when it gets chilly this winter as a nice treat. After the tour, we went inside to purchase some goodies and met with one of the gentlemen in charge of the wedding side of their business. We got a private tour of the wedding facilities which have a medieval feel and are super cute. They can host medium-large groups and have a huge kitchen for catering. Ben was very knowledgeable and had lots of interesting information. Highly recommend this location!!
Worth a stop when in Lexington. Came here in late July on a family vacation. Steven gave a great tour. Highly recommend.
Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co. is known for its craft beers and spirits, primarily based in Lexington, Kentucky. The company is particularly famous for its flagship beer, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, which is aged in bourbon barrels, giving it a unique flavor profile. They also produce a range of other beers, including IPAs, stouts, and seasonal brews.
In addition to beer, they distill bourbon and other spirits, emphasizing traditional methods and local ingredients. The brewery offers tours and tastings, allowing visitors to learn about the brewing and distilling process while enjoying their products. If you have specific questions or need more information about their offerings, feel free to ask!
We had a great tour and tasting with Steven today! He was knowledgeable and fun. The bourbon, spirits and beer were excellent and we had a great time!

Fun tour, amazing beer and bourbon! If you are in Lexington, don’t miss this! Jessie (our tour guide) was very personable and knowledgeable. Kudos to Carolyn too, all around fun experience! Gorgeous tasting room with so many fun details!
I learned a lot and had fun, what else could I desire as a tourist!
Was a surprisingly insightful and unique experience. Passionate tour guides will walk you through the modern brewery with educational tidbits on the industry itself. Given their various offerings of beers and whisky to choose from, you will be given four tokens where you can exchange them for your unique tasting adventure.
First of all, Tom, thank you so much for a tour filled with great history, knowledge, whit, and repartee. My wife and I had a firkin butt tun of fun! (once you do the tour this will make more sense) The tour is a fantastic value for the price and should not be missed if you get the chance. We had choices of sampling beer and a wide variety of the bourbon and other spirits. And even at the very end, they pull out another surprise tasty option that was a pleasant and unique. I don't want to spoil the surprise. We actually don't drink much bourbon, but it was some very smooth options and the way we could get a variety of samples on the beer was an all around great experience.
The tour was fun, learned some cool things about how the company came about through the years and it's presence in Lexington. Ended up being a private tour, and Carol did great! My favorite picks in the pics!
I had the BEST time here. We took a tour with Steven, he was fun, engaging, and clearly passionate about the business of bourbon and the Lexington Brewing & Distillery. Absolutely recommend this spot. I'd come back and take the tour with Steven again. So much fun! And the drinks are delicious!
