We had an overnight in Lexington and thought we would give Malone's a try. Excellent food and service. They had a promotion giving out $25 gift card when you spend $100, we recieved and gift card and used it on this trip. Hence this was our secong trip to Malone's and it was once again delicious... we'll make this our regular spot when driving through or stay overnight in Lexington.

We felt rushed during our meal. The entree was brought to table while we were still eating and additional l salad requested was brought out as we were finishing our meal.

We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation time. Our server was really nice and it was obvious that the kitchen was having major problems. Bread came 30 minutes after we were seated and after 3 requests. My salad arrived 15 minutes later and was good. Our food came 30 minutes later. My wife ordered a medium rare steak with apple salad and it well done. She sent it back and 25 minutes later the new one came out dry brown and not edible. My steak was perfect on one half. The other half was almost raw. I ordered it medium. My asparagus was mush and limp, so over cooked. We learned that one manager was in the kitchen trying to help, one was running around from room to room delivering food The server really felt bad for us and the table next to us who had been waiting almost an hour for their food. This was the worst meal we have ever had at Malones! We love Malones but it will be a long time before we return.

It was Father's Day so the service was slow and the noise level was high. We were there for two hours and the service was noticeably slower than usual. The food was great and the cost is fair for what you receive. We enjoyed our meal.
