You will not leave Malone's hungry!! The food is very good and the portions are generous. Our service was excellent.
They use 2 waiters/waitresses but my drink stayed empty and the one kept taking plates but never filled my drink up. More concerned getting dishes in dishwasher.
It was a busy Saturday night. We arrived early for our 6:30pm reservation and were seated at 6:25pm. We had two servers and two assistants who were attentive but not hovering. Menus and drink orders were taken and delivered promptly and our Restaurant week orders were placed. Two salads, one sushi, two surf and turf (fillet and shrimp) and a warm chocolate chip cookie with a huge ball of ice cream on top. Malones service was excellent. The rare fillets were seared on the outside and warm red on the inside...as a rare steak should be. Sides were seasoned fries and broccoli. Both excellent. My only negatives are that my manhattan came over crushed ice. It should have been mixed and then served over ONE large cube or no more than three regular size cubes. My wife's prosecco was served in a white wine glass, which tends to disperse the modest "bubbles" of the prosecco too quickly. Serving sparkling wine in this type of glass makes the drink go flat too quickly. Some oversize stemmed or unstemmed flutes would be a nice addition to the glassware choices at the bar. Those are relatively minor points. Dinner was excellent as was the overall service. Well done. Fix the two issues with the bar service and it will be even better.
As always, delicious dinner, impeccable service, so enjoyed. Noise level was not so good. Two crying kids/babies during our entire meal. It was a 6:00 reservation. I assume the babied/kids were too tired to be out at that time.
My dad and stepmom were visiting for the first time since we moved to Lexington. Malone's was the only choice to treat them, and we could not have had a better experience! A great table, Riley and his assistant provided the best of service, and the food was exactly as you would expect at Malone's, first quality! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
We went for Restaurant Week and had delicious meals. The Surf and Turf was very tasty and perfectly cooked. We always ask for lite seasonings because they like most places use too much salt. However, they do respond to that request.
The entree was delicious, however, the salad seemed to have been sitting for awhile...it was less tasty than other times I've eaten there. The dessert was very good! The service lacked its usual attentiveness...we waited for 30 minutes to get our salads. The bread and drinks were brought out promptly though. Our waiter never checked in with us after he brought our food. Overall the food was good, but service was unusually poor. I have not experienced such poor service at Malones in the past.
A real favorite of ours! Malone's never disappoints! My husband and I split the twin filets! Along with the Lexingtonian Salad we had a great meal!
We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at Malone's on July 22nd and had a fantastic evening. The food was great, and our server was very attentive. We even received a nice card from the staff recognizing our anniversary. It was a very busy evening within the restaurant as it was still restaurant week across Lexington. But the staff was great, and it was a fun vibe. We are new to Lexington, so it has been fun to establish new traditions and go-to spots for celebrations. Malone's is definitely on our list.
We were thrilled to sit in back area but we were in a booth against the wall where the kitchen or bus station is located on the other side. We kept hearing banging which was startling and we really didn't get used to it. Attention was limited and probably the longest we have waited for drinks, appetizer etc. our dinner was delicious! We will be back and request a different table next time!

Good food. The server had several mis-ques. Dropped a full salad off her tray and grazed one of us. Later dropped a knife and hit one of us. We ordered the three-course meal special, and she brought the dessert with our meal which had arrived only minutes after we received our salads. She did bring a new dessert later after we requested it. The whole experience was a bit disjointed. Not use to this at Malones. We will try them again.
Steaks were overcooked. Asked for medium and medium rare and both came out medium well and burnt on the outside that I couldn't chew it. My husband asked for prime rib and got a ribeye. Asked the server for sauce and then the server disappears so we flagged someone else down. We love the Malones franchise, and frequent Drakes and Harry's regularly. Just hoping for a better experience from Malones.
We love eating at Malone's. The food is delicious, service is great, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We go as often as we can. We've tried several items on the menu and all are good. Steaks and seafood are our favorites!
Dinner with out of town friends was terrific! Our food was tasty (per usual) and the service fantastic. I even got a Birthday card on the table !
Noah was our waiter and he was awesome. Food was perfect. Prices, portions, quality... all were spot on. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
