I had eaten there last weekend and left a review that was not nearly as good as this one. The food and service last night during the second visit was great! Much better and more of what I expected from Malones
The food was absolutely amazing. The service staff was sloppy and disheveled. We sat for close to three or four minutes before anyone even came to greet us at the table. When we walked in the hostess was not very welcoming either. Not sure what's going on with the staff, but the chef nailed it.
Food was good, service okay. Kind of sad when a waiter doesn't know where to put the knives. It is not to the left of your plate.
My experience was enlightening had a great time on my date. The only problem was we had reservations and they give us a table, but it was right in front of the door, which made it uncomfortable because the weather was freezing.
Right off it was pleasant. Party of 12. Three of us arrived 10 minutes early. They seated us, which is unheard of these days. They took our drink orders, then six more arrived, same service, then the remaining. I realize how inconvenient this is for a waitress. Samantha was all smiles, polite, professional and accommodating. Samantha had support and they were great as well.
An unusually quiet Saturday night; however, it was an 8:30 arrival. The food was great and service very timely.
Very disappointed with service at Malone's Lansdown. Last night we were seated at 6:30 pm. We were a guest of our friend. Dinner came at 8:15 pm. Almost 2 hours late. We were is a party of six. One guest asked for the dressing on the salad on the side. They put the dressing on the salad and one on the side. One of the guest food came 5 minutes later after everyone food was served. One guest ordered a beer that came so late after we paid the bill.

Malones is incredible. Best food in Lexington for the price. Will definitely recommend if you're in Lexington or close to Malones. You have to go there. Kyle was our server and I don't think there's anyone better.
My Wife and I had our 42nd wedding anniversary dinner with our two sons. We all enjoyed our meal and drinks. We were greeted with a anniversary card. Due to our continual patronage, I had accumulated reward points that took $50 off, plus $5 for the cats winning. Our waitress Joy was excellent along with Jackson clearing tables/serving. Enjoyed the free desert for our anniversary.
Consistent in every way. Steaks cooked perfectly. Sides always excellent. Lexingtonian salad is delish. Definitely an always a great experience.

We mentioned that we were celebrating my parents' anniversary. The server was so great and offered us a complimentary desert for the occasion. The food was excellent and they were great about the food allergy one of our party. We would highly recommend!
Our server Kyle B., delivered excellent service! For the exception of the broccoli, our food was delicious. We always have a very enjoyable dinner.
Was amazing. All the associates were great and friendly . Our food including from the bread, bottomless salad, main course was outstanding melt in your mouth deliciousness!
Stopped by this restaurant as my friends and I were passing through town on Sunday for lunch. The atmosphere had a very cool vibe with celebrity signed menus adorning the walls - I wanted to walk around the dining room to read them all. The service - top notch. Abby and team were terrific - very attentive and quick to refresh a drink or answer questions that our table had. The dining room was very clean. Where the restaurant fell very short in my opinion was my lunch item. I had ordered the Chicken Sandwich, crispy fried with the crinkle cut fries. I was highly disappointed with the portion size of the chicken and with the seasoning. The chicken itself was less than a half inch thick, doubled that with breading and completely overwhelmed by the massive bun. I had to pick up the top of the bun to make sure the chicken was actually on the sandwich. Nice crunch, but not that flavor punch I was expecting. I had to ditch the bun on the plate and eat the chicken, lettuce and tomato by itself. Sadly, I've had larger and more flavorful chicken sandwiches from fast food restaurants and certainly for less than half the cost of what I had here. Fries were the best part of the plate - perfectly cooked with a crunchy exterior and a soft interior. The other five in our party looked like they had decent plates - Southwest Grill Wraps, a Cobb Salad, Fried Fish Sandwich and BLT - I'd suggest selecting one of those items over the Fried Chicken Sandwich any day.
I’m a native Texan, I know steaks. Malone’s made one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time. It was seasoned to perfection, cooked immaculately. A prime filet for $50 including a salad and a one pound baked potato is really fair. Nice to see someone operating with integrity. Even the Dr. Pepper was really good, and had the right kind of ice. I ordered a G&T with lime and cucumber and the bartender understood the assignment. Great bourbon list for my spouse. Great experience.
