As a native Detroiter, I absolutely love this place. My biggest issue is, they are NEVER open. Even during their posted business hours. You can’t get anyone to answer the phones. Food is great, but it’s impossible to get in contact with anyone. Extremely frustrating.

It wouldn’t let me comment w/o giving a star, sat 3:00pm oct 1st 2022, traveling from Tenn back to Michigan, looking up quick good food that sounded like home, I read the reviews, saw how some got duped by the open but not open, i thought, with all those comments they surely wouldn’t let that happen again. Wrong! The 4 of us Went out of our way instead of hitting a fast food off the prior exits to find they are closed! Open sign in window says open, said open on web too, they must not need that many customers or new customers, with this experience, I realized why my customers really appreciate me back In Michigan, I would never be so flighty

Me and my boyfriend were referred to Mama Dee's by family and I'm so blessed they did ! Mama Dee is so friendly and she cooks the best food! And best part about it is everything comes from a homemade recipe so it's original and delicious! When you walk in someone greets you as you walk into a really nice clean cafe. The food doesn't take long and like I said very good customer service! very laid back but exceptional.. makes you feel right at home!
Needless to say I would recommend to everyone and I'm now addicted to this place and food ! lol 😆 especially the fried chicken salad! It's my favorite and my boyfriend lives their cheeseburgers!

As much as I love Mama Dee’s, they never seem to be open even though they are showing open on both Door Dash and when you go to the web. I’ve tried multiple times to confirm their business hours via Facebook and I never get a response. I’ve also tried to call multiple times and they never answer. I’ve had one successful order go through and be confirmed. Since that one order though I have tried multiple orders through door dash and they are never confirmed and either end up being cancelled by door dash or I have to cancel.

I leave this review sitting in the parking lot currently where the door was locked and no one answered the phone. I just watched four people walk out carrying food. I read a review below where they took someone's Door Dash order then didn't make it, so I feel like I dodged a bullet here.If the owner is working they should be ashamed. If they're not, they should be upset their restaurant is ran this way when they're not around.

My Fiance, Mother in Law and I had the corned beef sandwich. Best I've had!!! Delicious! Really nice staff as well! Place is clean and had high inspection results. Well done!
Ordered a corn beef sandwich and chili cheese fries ? my bread was so soggy I was honestly scared to eat it ? paid $14 only to throw it all away . Bad customer service when questioning about answering phones , however, the owner was respectful when talking to him . When I made it home to eat my food very disappointed and will never return or recommend anyone else to be served the way I was .
