My son is studying German this year so we went here for the experience. Wonderful service! Food that was authentic and delicious. Would go again. They also have a bar for over 18 crowd.

Really really wanted to like this place. Server was super nice. Place was dead, took forever to get seated. We did have a rather large group however 2 tables in the whole place was all that was seated. 90% vacant. We had to pester to get the group seated. They did mention they had a super busy weekend and was out of German draft beer. So no draft beer. Bottles are fine. Pretzel was good. Majority of food was left on the plate or in to go boxes. Weiner schnitzel was paper thin. Lacked flavor. Potato salad was nowhere near authentic. I'd compare it to loaded smashed potatoes. I would like to think I ordered the wrong thing. But my experience was felt the same throughout the whole group. If I had it to do again. I'd gladly drive to Newport to the hofbrauhaus and likely spend less. Decor was cool. Hope they improve on their menu and have success in the future.

Great German food and German beer. The wurstplatter with spatzle and made-in-house sausages and a draft Paulaner Hefeweizen is the dream. And sand volleyball. It’s a whole thing. The inside can feel a bit cavernous at first, but once you settle in it’s good food, good beer, and good times.

Food was good, but nothing stood out as fantastic. And not a single anything to dampen the sound ... a big room with lots of echoing.

We had an amazing experience at the restaurant. Our server, Allison, was so sweet, funny, and did a phenomenal job caring for us. The food is authentic The German cuisine was truly exceptional! Each dish was served in generous portions, providing great value for money, especially considering the prices are standard for a typical dining experience. You absolutely must try the pretzel; it's warm and perfectly baked with a satisfyingly chewy texture. Don't miss out on the beer cheese—it's rich, creamy, and absolutely worth indulging in. Every item on the menu is crafted in-house, and you can genuinely taste the quality and care that goes into each bite.

Nothing like good German food to fill you up. I went with the wurst dinner and added spatzle. Excellent.

Marikka’s has quickly become one of our favorite go-to spots in town! Whether you’re looking for a laid-back night out or some competitive fun, this place has it all. One of the standout features is their six sand volleyball courts, three indoor and three outdoor, so you can play no matter the weather. It’s perfect for weekly hangouts or spontaneous games with friends.

The atmosphere is always lively and welcoming, and the staff really makes the experience even better. Everyone is so friendly, and the bartenders are consistently awesome, quick, personable, and always make great drinks.

The food never disappoints, especially the pizza (seriously, some of the best around) and the fried mushrooms, they’re a must-try every time we come. We love sitting outside, grabbing a drink, chatting with friends, and then jumping into a game of volleyball. It’s just a fun, easygoing place that makes you want to come back again and again.

If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out—Marikka’s is truly a Lexington gem!

Great German restaurant. The wursts are excellent. They also have the best pretzel appetizer - it's huge! They will warm the beer cheese if you ask. All in all, a good experience.
