I come from Cincinnati, I know all 3 locations there and I can tell that I love Mazunte, and they make sure to bring all the authentic, natural and original flavor all the way here to Lexington. I am original from Mexico and I can say it is really authentic food. Still one of my favorite places! All the staff is amazing!
I totally recommend the Quesa Birria or the blue corn quesadillas!
Also the House margarita is delicious, something everyone should try!

Best tacos anywhere! Chips are served with five different kinds of salsa…all very flavorful. Even the pinto bean puree was uniquely delicious. A serendipitous find during our recent trip to Lexington!

We stopped by yesterday for lunch, it was my first time there and let me tell you that the service and atmosphere alone is worth the trip! Our server was amazing, he was friendly, very attentive and handled all his tables very well. The cheese dip is AMAZING! It’s so good, we ordered one after another and the presentation is something you don’t normally see, I really enjoyed that. We also tried the fish tacos, the torta and the tamales. It’s a new restaurant with it’s own twist on Mexican food so definitely stop by and give it a try.

Mazunte Bodega is the BEST Mexican food I have ever eaten!! I had the queso birria and the caldo de birria to dip is 10/10. If you like spicy margs, this one will challenge your taste buds! This is a hidden gem in the food scene of Lexington. Go check it out!

Cool place but food is expensive and average. Went for lunch and, aside from a few people at the bar, we were the only ones there. Service is maybe better during dinner rush. Seemed that they weren't sure who was supposed to do what.

Parking: Parking is free in the lot across the street but only during weekday daytime hours.

One of the best Mexican food. Birria is my favorite. Steak tacos are delicious. Tried almost all the menu items and was so good for every dish. Must try chips and salsa. Servers are nice and friendly :)

The BEST Mexican food I’ve had since visiting Mexico. Truly authentic flavor and dishes. Plus the clean dining area and bar makes for a phenomenal experience!

They don’t do burrito even though it’s a Mexican place.
For veggie option they only have zucchini, no bell pepper in kitchen to even add it in your food.
No good appetiser option and no complimentary chips and salsa.
Good ambience for photography.
Would not recommend this place for dinning.

Love the atmosphere of the restaurant! The decor is fun and the day we were there the garage doors at the bar were open and a great breeze was coming into the restaurant. I had the Sopa Tarasca and it was amazing! The soup was rich and had such a good flavor! Also enjoyed the Queso Fundido & Chips. These are not tiny chips you see in the grocery store. Mazunte’s chips are fresh and crisp and huge! As far as decor- the pottery that your meal is served on is beautiful. Great artistic touches such as the hand painting on the walls and floor and also check out the women’s restroom. The sink is absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend Mazunte Bodega and if ever I am in Lexington again- I will definitely be eating here!
