Gave 5 to encourage them and bypass Google ratings.Positive is location and Punjabi taste which can get spicy hot if red chilly powder is added.I let them know NO RED OR GREEN CHILLIES PLEASE! And they understood 'No means None'. I'm ok with black pepper and garam masala, other Indian spices. It's easy to see where it's lacking. If you're in joe bologna neighborhood then students are your best customers. Follow the same principles. How Joe started with affordable food for students and grew. A casual walk in buffet; clean, hygienic, well lit would suit much better than a faux fine dining set up in my opinion. Hiring a culinary school graduate could bring in fresh ideas in fusion cooking.Mostly all Lexington Indian restaurants including the largest one 'tandoor' would need a lot to catch up with a rapidly evolving fusion Indian scene growing in India.Trader Joe's has some excellent frozen Indian dishes more suited to the American taste possibly made by a trained chef and research.Parking: On the back of restaurant.

Our first visit to Mehak and we'll be back. I ordered chicken tiki saag. It was delicious. I took some home and had a nice lunch the next day. The staff was courteous and attentive.

I really liked Mehak, introduced my daughter to Tandoori chicken. Food was good; service was pleasant; prices were good.

The buffet is fine, but there's very little spice in it. I'd recommend ordering from the menu. You can pick your spice level from mild, medium or hot. To me the medium level was fine, definitely not too spicy at all. Portions are good so if there's several of you at the table order different dishes and share. I recommend it!

Food is substandard, and service is terrible. It promotes a discount for students, but it is a total LIE. Student discounts were not given. I will never go back to this place or recommend it to anyone.

Solid place. Not the #1 in town, but well worth the business and support. Lunch specials are priced well, and I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ordered from there.

The lamb korma was very good. Lamb was tender. I didn't care for the coconut paratha, but that is just personal taste. I will be back.

The food is wonderful. I had the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Generous portions, too. Great service.

Very tasty. Their lunch portions are very reasonably priced and come with a curry, rice, and naan and I ended up needing a to-go box for leftovers.Vegetarian options: At least half of the menu is vegetarian.

I’ve been meaning to write a review for ages. Mehak has been the nicest addition to our UK neighborhood dining options. The food is delicious, the staff always kind, and a very nice interior. Cocktails are A+!

Both chicken and lamb were overcooked. Also way overpriced: $20 for lamb tikka with rice (serving size is small). Naan was dry, dull, smokey flavored, burnt and had flour dust on the bottom. Service was okay, not fast like other reviews say. Cute plates though.
