Merrick food and service is always excellent. This visit we responded to an invitation for the “Filet Feature,” only to be told, after we were seated, that, “We don't offer that, tonight.” We showed the invitation and pointed out it was also on the Merrick Inn website: “Sunday - Tuesday through March 31. Eat-in Only.” Sorry, must be a mistake. We ordered from the menu and the food was good ... but it wasn't what we came for.

It was our first time eating at the Merrick Inn. We were not disappointed! The food, service, and atmosphere were outstanding. I highly recommend and we hope to go back soon! Thank you for a great experience.
While the overall experience was good, they sat my boyfriend and me by a really loud group and we couldn't hear to speak to one another. It was very uncomfortable. We don't get date nights often and it ruined this one.

Have dined many times at Merrick but our meals this particular night were lacking. The special was to have a corn cream sauce with crab and bacon; the cream sauce was thin and the crab and bacon were no where to be seen. The second meal was to have an 8oz. filet; it was 4 oz at best with grizzle. Disappointing but will try again at a future date.

Bryan was our server and he did an excellent job, despite having a ton of tables to service. All staff were friendly and polite, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was definitely unique! Great experience.

Boring food with way too much fat and not enough flavor. Terrible service. Horrible wine glassware and pedestrian wine selections. Server tried to bring us our side dishes without entrees when we had just started our salads! This type of restaurant may have worked in the 1970's but should not even exist in 2024.

We haven't been back to the Merrick Inn for over 10 years as we live in Pittsburgh. We were pleasantly surprised that the food, service and ambiance is as great as it always was. We ate in the new lounge area and loved the addition and atmosphere. Great to see that some of the good things do not change. Hope to see you all again soon. Ken

The Inn itself has historic feel and great ambience with the fireplaces, brick and outdoor seating for warmer weather. The brunch menu has good variety and choices for a late breakfast.
Atmosphere was nice even as it started to get more patrons and fill up. Great Kentucky home dining experience. Food was excellent. Our server was great and engaging. This was a first time visit but would definitely visit this restaurant again.

Had a reservation for tonight, 2/17, at 9:30. Got a notification my reservation was cancelled when I most certainly did not cancel it. So I called the restaurant and asked why my reservation was cancelled, they claimed it was cancelled on my end and I said that it wasn’t. I asked to still get in and they told me they already booked that time slot. Mind you I called them 8:40. I checked my email and the email stated the restaurant cancelled my reservation at 8:13pm. Extremely disappointed.

My wife and I visited for the first time today. We had reservations for 2:00. When I saw the brunch menu I was disappointed. But I thought I’ll make the best of it. I was extremely pleased with everything from the food to the service and the atmosphere! The decor was great too!! We will be back to try the dinner menu soon!!! Thank you!
