Great salads

I’ve been a regular at this location for years, but something seems to have changed in the past year or so, for the worse.

Employees typically have AirPods in while they work, so they can’t hear the customers well. When I walk up the counter, they often don’t even acknowledge I’m there, chatting with each other or working on mobile orders. A quick “be with you in a second” would be better than wondering if they’ve even seen me. I’ve seen several instances of employees arguing with each other. The place also seems to be understaffed every time I go in.

It’s a shame, because I like the pizza, but I often have to psych myself up to go eat here anymore and deal with the bad service :/

We always have a good experience. Kids can order what they like on their pizza.

Natalie is the goat. She was able to take multitask and care for 3 different customers while also providing excellent customer service to a disgruntled customer!!! Absolutely handled it like a boss, good job Natalie

Delicious pizza!!!

One of the guys was really rude and pushy. It's not the customers fault that they are short staffed.

Good pizza, love thin crust and made to order. I like my pizza with extra sauce and cooked extract crispy. Salad is good too.

Came on Nov 13, 2024, the 2 guys that were working, were very nice. Also making sure our pizzas were exactly the way we like it.

We called before we drove to this MODs to ask about the vegan cheese the person that answered the phone didn’t even know they had it. Then realized they did ( just didn’t seem like they knew what they had) So we headed over and we have our pizzas almost made and the worker says we don’t have vegan cheese. I admit I did get angry and said we literally just called. So they say we have dairy free cheese. 🥲 same thing. Then she says they are out. Again I said we called 20 minutes ago you said you had it in stock. Another worker found some in the back. They then cooked the pizzas till they were black and very burned so we had to wait to have them remade and recooked. They were good then. The tables were all very sticky and the team seemed like there was no organization or communication. Only one of them actually seemed to know what they were doing.

Mod Pizza on Tate's Creek has been a regular lunch spot for me for over a year. Until recently, it was my favorite fast casual place in this part of the city. The level of service and care in preparing the food has fallen off a cliff in the last 3 months or so.

They seem to have gone through a full staff (maybe management/ownership?) turnover and it has not turned out well. Employees often complain and bicker back and forth to each other while sloppily making orders. Pizzas often come out under or overcooked and toppings are sometimes just piled on in clumps rather than spread out. The prep counter is typically pretty messy and ingredients are all over the place. They're regularly out of at least 2-3 ingredients.

The actual food quality and taste are still very good and worth the price. If the service and preparation quality got back to where it was a year or so ago, this would be a 5-star location again.
